Student answer (Band 5.0)
I would like to sasy that during my early time when i was at 3-4 years parent were sending their kids to school from primary section which is from 1st class.
But before going directly to primary school, parents use to take their kids for a tution classes which is comparatively low prices then going to pre primary school.
I think this approach was because of finanancils of individuals. During that time the salaries was not high and most of the parents could not afford to put their kids in pre-primart not only because of fees but also additional cost for eg school dress, acitivites, picnic etc.
But nowadays this has completely stopped by this generation and the parents wants theur kids to go to pre primary school because they believe that the kid will have more interaction with others which will help thme to mix up easily which can help in future. Also some kids do not eat at home as their grand parents pamper a lot which in turn is not good and therofer we cannot force our kids knowing that grandparents won't allow us to either scold nor beat up. So parents thinks that going to preprimary is also helping kids to eat. Moreover, they learn a lot in terms of activities they have in school and this gives the ids more confident in their future performances.
In todays scenario both parent are earnings or they have their own businesses so financially they are strong and can afford to admit ther kids from prepimary stage. Beng a working parents this also help them that they are being taken care by school for that particular time.
Finally, i would say that going to preprimary scholl helps the kids to be more focused.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the topic of sending children to preschool versus waiting until primary school, including both past context and modern advantages such as social interaction and eating habits. However, the task is only partially addressed because the discussion of disadvantages is extremely limited, with the text focusing primarily on financial barriers in the past and advantages in the present. Furthermore, the ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed, lacking extension with specific examples. The writer's position is discernible, but the overall development remains basic, which aligns precisely with the criteria for this level.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The text presents some organisation with an attempt to contrast past practices with modern scenarios across paragraphs. However, there is no clear overall progression of argument, and the connections between ideas often feel disjointed or repetitive, as seen in transitions like 'But nowadays' and 'Finally, i would say'. Cohesive devices are used somewhat mechanically and inaccurately in places, and referencing is not always clear, such as ambiguous pronoun use like 'this helps them that they are being taken care by'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal logical progression requires better structuring to reach higher bands.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The writer displays a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully communicating everyday concepts related to schooling and finance. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word formation, such as 'sasy', 'finanancils', 'pre-primart', 'therofer', 'prepimary', and 'scholl'. These lexical inaccuracies and non-standard forms occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader. While the student attempts some less common items like 'interaction' and 'financially', control over collocation and precise word forms is lacking, keeping the lexical score at this level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple clauses and basic coordination. When the student attempts more complex sentence forms, they are frequently faulty, such as in the sentence 'Also some kids do not eat at home as their grand parents pamper a lot which in turn is not good'. There are frequent errors in verb forms, tenses, subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions within grammatical patterns—for instance, 'parent were sending', 'salaries was not high', 'parent are earnings', and 'taken care by school'. These frequent errors cause noticeable strain and difficulty for the reader throughout the text.
