Student answer (Band 5.5)
Sending children to school is a controversial topic between parents Who like doing it and others Who are against this principe. From my perspective, I strongly believe that sending children to preschool présents numerous avantages. First of all, the preschool offers for Kids specific programms to enhance their cognitive abilities and this approach enhances the capacity of Kids to develop a strategy quickly. Playing chess since the age of 4 is really interesting and can accurate the ability to make decisions since an early age. In other words, thedevelopment of memory for Kids is related to which activities are doing at early age. Besides, it's important for children to develop soft skills since the age of 3.Teachers in preschools have the competence to adapt these skills to children throug several activities like drawing, music or leisure activities. For example, a recent study in cambridge university illustrates that beginning at an early age gives more probalility to succeed i' academic path later. Neverthless, waiting until school cant have some benefits. Thus, preschool is demanding and if the intensity of tasks is present, children can be exhausted and won't perform well at real school. Besides, many children can not have the abilities required to assimilate the activities in preschools. Si, this step will be useless for their background and it will be like a waste of energy there. In summarize, I think that the preschool can be an interesting step for Kids and parents must play a crucial role to develop preschool as a general concept for everyone concerned with his kid's academic path.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and make your position clear: you favour preschool, while acknowledging that it may be demanding and that some children may not be ready. The points about cognitive development and soft skills are relevant, and the examples of chess and activities such as drawing and music help illustrate the benefits. However, some ideas are asserted rather than explained. For instance, the claim that preschool improves later academic success relies on a briefly mentioned study, without explaining how or giving a concrete example. The disadvantages are also less developed than the advantages. Explain more fully how early schooling could affect a child, and balance this with specific reasons why waiting for primary school may be beneficial.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an identifiable overall shape: it introduces the topic, presents advantages, turns to disadvantages with “Nevertheless,” and ends with a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through the discussion. However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several claims are placed together without clear explanation of their relationship. For example, the move from chess to memory development is abrupt, and the final paragraph combines a recommendation with a broad statement about preschool. Linking phrases such as “First of all,” “Besides,” and “In other words” are used, but some connections feel mechanical or do not clarify the logic. Use separate, focused paragraphs for benefits and drawbacks, and make each sentence build on the previous one with clear referencing.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to education and child development, including “cognitive abilities,” “soft skills,” “assimilate,” and “academic path.” These choices show some ambition and generally allow the reader to understand your main points. However, a number of word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the expression noticeably uneven: “accurate the ability” does not convey the intended meaning, “programms” is misspelled, and “more probalility” is an inaccurate form. Phrases such as “waste of energy there” and “develop preschool as a general concept” are also unclear or unnatural. Aim for precise, familiar collocations—for example, “improve decision-making skills” and “prepare children for primary school”—and proofread spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer structures, including a conditional idea about children becoming exhausted and a relative clause in “activities like drawing, music or leisure activities.” The main message is usually recoverable, but grammatical control is inconsistent. Examples include “the preschool offers for Kids specific programms,” where the sentence structure is faulty, and “which activities are doing at early age,” which lacks a clear subject and has an incorrect verb form. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and punctuation, such as “at early age” and the missing space after “3.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause. Practise building accurate complex sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and check articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries during revision.
