Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view: preschool can help children develop, and you believe its benefits outweigh its drawbacks. Relevant advantages include social interaction, early learning and independence; the disadvantages of separation anxiety and reduced time for play are also appropriate. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, you say children learn letters, colours and shapes “more easily and quickly,” but do not explain how preschool supports this or give a specific example. The point about different developmental needs is also difficult to follow. Develop each main idea with a clear explanation or example, and make your conclusion’s comparison of benefits and drawbacks more precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal these stages. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some connections are unclear. The opening is difficult to follow, while the advantages paragraph moves from social skills to academic learning and independence without consistently showing how each point relates to the main argument. Linking phrases such as “Moreover” and “Further more” are used, but they do not always create a clear relationship between ideas. Improve cohesion by giving each paragraph a clear topic sentence, grouping related points, and using pronouns and transitions that make references explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “social and communication skills,” “separation anxiety,” “emotional well-being,” and “structured learning environment.” These phrases show an attempt to discuss both educational and emotional effects. However, word choice, spelling and collocation errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “educational farm foundation,” “at build,” “every children develops,” and “today competition word.” Some expressions also repeat general words such as “children” and “learn.” Build accuracy by checking unfamiliar phrases and choosing natural collocations; for instance, use “a strong educational foundation” and “in today’s competitive world.” Proofreading spelling and word forms will make your ideas clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “which makes them independent” and a contrast structure beginning “although.” This gives you a basis for expressing cause, contrast and consequences. However, sentence boundaries and grammatical relationships are often unclear, particularly in the introduction and conclusion. There are also errors in agreement and articles, as in “Some children feels” and “a different place,” and the sentence beginning “Some children feels upset when separate” lacks a clear grammatical subject and verb pattern. Several clauses are joined without clear punctuation, making the reader work to identify the intended meaning. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles and punctuation.
