Student answer (Band 5.0)
Parents are the who wanted their children go to preschool when they are younger while other parents had a decision to wait when they are old enough to go to primary school. I think that it depends on the parents or the families background, if they can afford making their children go to school.
The parents who wanted to make their children to go to school or the preschool have a much more advantage when they grow up learning. Because students who are placed on early schooling are much more likely to learn quickly when they grow up. Also they can adapt to their peers where students are more outgoing because they learn to socialize early on their lives. However children who goes to preschool when they are three or four years old, do not have a time to let themselves play or have some free time to adjust because they are mostly likely wanted to play all the time, now they are being supervised on how they work on school because of homework and all.
On the other hand, Parents who waited their children to be old enough on school have also a good side and bad side where they have the time of their lives when they are younger so they have plenty to play around and explore themselves like playing outside and socializing with others. And now having them learn when they just are old enough is hard because they were not taught them yet so they will be behind on studies and they cannot adapt on learning much faster rather than children who goes to preschool in the early age.
In conclusion, parents who made their child go to school in the early age also parents who did not are all quite okay because not all families are have the privilege on making their child go to school. But nowadays governments can now make parents if they wanted their child go to school earlier than before so only the basic that will sustain the lives of each childs future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You discuss both choices and identify plausible advantages and disadvantages: early preschool may support learning and socialisation, while starting later allows more play and exploration but may make adjustment to study harder. However, the discussion remains general and some claims are not explained or supported with a specific example. The opening says the decision depends on family background and affordability, but this point is not developed, and the conclusion shifts to government policy without clearly resolving the comparison. Your position is therefore not consistently clear, and the task is only partly addressed in the depth expected. To strengthen the response, explain each main point with a reason or relevant example and make your overall view explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two choices, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “However,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal changes in direction. Nevertheless, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and ideas are linked mechanically or repetitively. For example, the second paragraph moves from learning quickly to socialising and then to lack of free time without clearly explaining how these points relate. The final paragraph introduces government policy rather abruptly. Some references, such as “they” and “them,” are also unclear. Organise each paragraph around one main advantage or disadvantage, then explain it, and use clearer links between claims and examples.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “preschool,” “primary school,” “socialize,” “supervised,” and “studies.” However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “much more advantage,” “have a time to let themselves play,” and “have plenty to play around and explore themselves.” Repetition of “children,” “school,” and “parents” also limits flexibility. Aim to use more precise expressions for the benefits and drawbacks, and check collocations and word forms. For instance, describe children as developing social skills or having opportunities for unstructured play rather than relying on repeated general wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the response uses some subordinate clauses, such as “because they learn to socialize early on their lives.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction can make ideas difficult to understand. Examples include “Parents are the who wanted,” “children who goes,” “they were not taught them yet,” and “not all families are have the privilege.” Some sentences also run together or lack clear grammatical connections, particularly in the discussion of early schooling. Practise building accurate basic clauses first, then combine them with one clear subordinate clause. Check subject–verb agreement and verb patterns before adding further detail.
