Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued, at the early stage of childern, their parents send them to kinder garden. But, other parents wait untill their childern are old enough to send them to directly primary school. I will explain the merits and demerits forthcoming paragraphs.
To commence with, there are some advantages to start going to school in early age, childern might be able to learn basic things and making new friends. it also help them to get know about the surrounding where they are living and mind games. For example, according to survey the quantitative data showed that who joined preschool in their early age, they have broad mind set than others to grab more knowledge regarding acadmic and world. As a result, it support the toddlers to become smart and more knowlgeable person to make their future successful as well as bright.
On the other hand, if children begin formal education at an early age, they may not only miss out on valuable childhood experiences but also have fewer opportunities to develop creativity and strengthen family relationships. they might be loose the chances to visit their neighbours houses for play and going to temples for mega celebration such as diwali, gurupurb. For instance, there are may childern who love to go their neighbours to attend parties and playing games in their childhool before school because after starting school they do not get time to go anywhere due to school work. Consequently, this may negatively affect their emotional development and overall well-being.
In conclusion, from my perspective, it has more advantages to start schooling in early age than disadvantages because they might be learnt more things in that age and able to sharp their mind in preschool about important things which will help them to learn advance level lessons in primary school by easy way.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and state a clear preference in the conclusion: you believe early preschool has more advantages. The benefits you identify—learning basic skills, making friends and becoming familiar with the surroundings—are relevant, as are the possible costs to play, creativity and family life. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the survey claim about children having a “broad mind set” is vague and not connected clearly to a specific learning benefit. The disadvantage paragraph gives examples of missed celebrations and visits, but could explain more precisely why these experiences matter for development. Develop each main idea with a clear explanation and a specific, credible example to make the discussion more balanced and convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion that restates your position. Linking phrases such as “On the other hand,” “For example,” and “Consequently” help readers follow the argument, and the ideas generally progress in a logical order. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some stronger control through clear paragraphing and signposting. To make the progression more consistently smooth, avoid formulaic transitions and ensure each example directly supports the point before it. Some connections are unclear, such as the move from “mind games” to the survey claim, and the conclusion repeats earlier ideas rather than drawing the two sides together. Clearer referencing and more precise links between claims and examples would strengthen cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to discuss preschool and childhood, including “formal education,” “creativity,” “emotional development,” and “overall well-being.” There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “valuable childhood experiences” and “quantitative data.” However, the range is uneven, and noticeable spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the meaning less clear: “childern,” “knowlegeable,” “acadmic,” and “loose the chances” are examples. Some combinations are also unnatural, including “broad mind set” and “sharp their mind.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than adding complex-sounding phrases. Proofreading spelling and choosing precise expressions such as “develop their thinking” would make your ideas easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the contrast structure “not only … but also” and a conditional clause beginning “if children begin formal education.” The main ideas are usually understandable, but errors in sentence construction, agreement, verb forms and punctuation occur across the response. For instance, “it also help them” has an agreement error, while “they might be loose the chances” has an incorrect verb construction. The opening sentence is also incomplete or awkwardly joined: “It is often argued, at the early stage of childern, their parents send them…” Capitalisation after full stops is inconsistent, as in “it also” and “they might.” Practise building accurate complex sentences and check each sentence for a clear subject, correctly formed verb and appropriate punctuation.
