Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some parents prefer to send their children to preschool at the age of three or four years, whereas others believe that children should start their education when they are old enough to attend primary school. Although both approaches have their own pros and cons, I believe that attending preschool at an early age can be beneficial for children's overall development.
On the one hand, starting studies at an early age would be helpful in learing some useful things in an early phase of life. At preschool, children have opportunities to interact with their peers by performing some group activities,it helps in developing communication and social skills which play essential role in everybody's lives. Moreover, early childhood education can extremely helpful for children in problem solving skand improve their ability to follow instruction after taking parts in group tasks in classes. Furthermore, they can become familiar with some academic things, such as numbers, letters and colours before starting primary school.
On the other hand, some parents prefer to keep their childern home until they reach primary school age.One major advantage of this apporoch is that young age childern will spend majority of time with their parents, which may boost emotional bonds and provide them sense of security. In addition, some children are not emotionally ready for school at early age which makes them stressful.
In my opinion, although parents should consider their child's specific needs ,preschool generally a positive move towards development. It can be valuable in both social and educational aspects.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the question and state a clear preference for preschool, with relevant points about social skills, early learning, family bonds and emotional readiness. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the benefits are listed, but the explanation of how group activities build communication or problem-solving remains brief, and the disadvantages receive even less support. The task also asks for relevant examples, but none is clearly provided. Your conclusion repeats your position without adding much synthesis. The response is one word below the required minimum, so it does not meet the length requirement. Develop each main point with a reason or specific example, and give the disadvantages comparable attention.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting benefits, a paragraph on the alternative of staying at home, and a concluding opinion. The progression is easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In my opinion” help readers identify the stages of the argument. To make the organisation more effective, connect ideas within paragraphs more smoothly and avoid relying mainly on formulaic transitions. For example, explain how peer interaction leads to the social skills you mention before moving to problem-solving and academic familiarity. Some sentences run together because punctuation is missing, which interrupts the flow. Clearer sentence boundaries and more developed links between claims would strengthen cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “communication and social skills,” “emotional bonds,” “sense of security,” and “overall development.” These phrases make your main ideas understandable, and there is some attempt at more specific language. However, the range is limited and several spelling or word-choice errors reduce accuracy, including “learing,” “childern,” “apporoch,” and “skand.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “starting studies” and “academic things.” Choose more precise, natural expressions such as “beginning formal learning” and “basic academic concepts.” Proofreading spelling and checking collocations would make your vocabulary more reliable and help you express the ideas with greater precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including a contrast clause beginning “Although both approaches…” and a relative clause in “skills which play…”. The overall meaning is generally clear, but errors in sentence formation and punctuation occur often enough to affect fluency. For example, “it helps in developing…” is joined to the preceding clause with only a comma, and “preschool generally a positive move” is missing a verb. There are also problems with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “provide them sense of security” and the run-together sentence ending “lives.Moreover”. Aim to form complete clauses, use full stops or semicolons where needed, and check articles and verb forms during revision.
