Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this contemporary world, it is quite common among parents to enroll their children in at an early age. However, some people do not feel comfort to send their children in preschools until they become little mature. This short essay will articulate the merits and demerits of this ongoing trend in the upcoming paragrapghs.

Commencing with most salient advantage of sending juveniles to kindergarden is to make them more socialise and comfortable before going to school. Since offspring stay longer time with their parents they feel more attached with them and always reluctant to leave them in any situtation. It would be more arduous for them to enter in schools when they have to come out from their comfort zone. Consequently, early schooling teaches them to sit with random students confidently and often learn new skills such as socialization, admirable behaviour with mentors and supporters. In addtion, it is also beneficial for working parents. To examplify, there are numerous women who has to maintain balance in nurturing children and work responsibilites. If they admit their loved ones in preschool, they can easily devote their time to thier job and household chores. As little children requires fully attention, parents cannot bestow their time to thier work.

Meanwhile, one significant drawback, children are not mature enough to deal with separation anxiety. This could negatively affect their emotional well-being, particulary if they are not ready to spend long periods away from their parents.I t leads them mental disordes in very ealry ager.

In summarise, eventhough there are a number of benefits of having preschool education for young ones, an adverse impact on their immature mind can not be neglected

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the question: the benefits include socialising before primary school and helping working parents, while the disadvantage is separation anxiety. The example about parents balancing work and childcare makes one benefit relevant to everyday life. However, the discussion is uneven: the advantages are explained in more detail, whereas the disadvantage is only briefly stated and the claim that early separation can cause “mental disorders” is not explained or supported. Your position is suggested in the conclusion, but it could be clearer and more directly answer whether the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Develop the disadvantage with a realistic example and explain when early preschool may be difficult for a child.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on advantages, a paragraph on the disadvantage, and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally clear, and transitions such as “In addition,” “Meanwhile,” and “In summarise” signal the movement between points. However, some linking is mechanical, and the disadvantage paragraph is very short compared with the advantages paragraph, so the overall development feels unbalanced. A few references are also unclear, such as “This” at the start of the disadvantage discussion, which could refer more precisely to starting preschool early or being separated from parents. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, and connect explanations and examples more explicitly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “socialization,” “emotional well-being,” “comfort zone,” and “responsibilities.” These choices show an effort to express ideas beyond basic terms. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, word forms, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear. For example, “feel comfort” and “make them more socialise” are not natural expressions, while “kindergarden,” “paragrapghs,” and “situtation” contain spelling errors. “Mental disorders” is also too strong and imprecise for the point being made. Aim for accurate, natural phrases such as “feel comfortable,” “develop social skills,” and “emotional difficulties,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional sentence beginning “If they admit their loved ones in preschool” and a reason clause introduced by “Since.” This gives the response some structural variety. However, errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation recur and occasionally make the reader pause. For example, “there are numerous women who has to maintain” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “As little children requires fully attention” has errors in agreement and sentence structure. The opening also runs sentences together after “age,” and “I t leads them mental disordes” is difficult to follow grammatically. Review agreement and clause structure, and proofread sentence boundaries and punctuation.
