Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You discuss both advantages and disadvantages, which is relevant to the task: the benefits include socialising, making friends and learning through activities, while the drawbacks include distress and isolation. However, the response addresses the topic only partially. The task asks about preschool, but the opening refers to enrolling children in “primary school,” and the advantages and disadvantages are not consistently explained. For instance, the point about children being left unattended is introduced but not developed with an example or explanation. The response is also 31 words below the required minimum, limiting the space available to develop ideas. To strengthen your answer, clarify that you are discussing preschool and extend each main point with a reason and a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph beginning “On the one hand,” and a contrasting paragraph beginning “On the other hand.” These markers help readers identify the two sides of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some connections are unclear or mechanical. For example, “This means” is followed by a sentence fragment, “Starting with small words and actions,” rather than a complete explanation. The final paragraph ends with a comma and an unfinished thought, so the conclusion is missing. Some ideas, such as isolation and lack of safety, are placed together without showing clearly how they relate. Use complete sentences, link each supporting detail directly to its main point, and finish with a brief concluding statement.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “socialise,” “participate,” “activities,” “mental and physical growth,” and “isolation,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “parents attractment” for the child’s attachment to parents, “create as boundries,” and “give sense of morals of life.” There are also spelling errors such as “intrest,” “attent,” and “instuctors.” These problems sometimes obscure your intended meaning, even though the general topic remains understandable. Build a more accurate set of phrases for early-childhood education and check spelling carefully; choosing familiar, precise expressions is more effective than attempting an unclear phrase.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrastive opening with “Although” and explanations introduced by “This is because.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries can make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “it bring a change” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “children does not like” has an incorrect verb form. “Sending children to preschool assist them” also needs agreement, and “some of the children cry and do not show interest” shifts awkwardly between general and specific reference. The fragment “Starting with small words and actions” and the comma at the end leave ideas incomplete. Practise building complete sentences and check that each subject matches its verb.
