Student answer (Band 5.5)
According to some folks, kids should be attend to preschool before they get admission to primary school. while, other think that children should go to primary school beacuse they are quite matured at this time. I am agree with the former statement, but would like to discuss both the merits and demerits of going to preschool.
Attend daycare or OSC could be beneficial for them to develop their several core areas through play, exploration and guided activities. In detail, when parents send their children in preschool or daycare, they can pass through different age groups for example, infants, toddlers and preschool age, in that way, they could learn different skiils like, fine motor, grass motor skills and could use them in their primary school phase. furthermore, children learn teamwork and this might be easier for them to make a friends and teamwork at upper school level.
On the other hand, attend preschool before primary could give them burden in their younger age. in detail, the age group of 4-5 is development age and children want some leisure time to explore their environment. when they start going to daycares or home care, they can not be able to spend some time with their parents and this will cause a less attachment in future with guradians. moreover, in this age, parents should be best teacher for them, when they send them to school, they feel lonely.
In conclusion. I think that children should attend the preschool beacuse this could be beneficial for them to develop their motor and fine skills before go to perschool. while, this could harm their relationship with parents and they do not have a time to psend with them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the question and state a preference for preschool, giving relevant points about skill development and the possible effect on parent-child relationships. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the examples of motor skills and teamwork are named but not illustrated, and the claim that preschool may cause “less attachment” is not explained or supported. The conclusion repeats the main points rather than drawing them together. To strengthen the response, explain how a specific preschool activity builds a skill, and qualify or support the concern about time with parents. A clearer, consistently maintained position would also make your response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for advantages, one for disadvantages, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the shift between ideas. Within paragraphs, however, progression is sometimes mechanical, with repeated “In detail” and “moreover,” and some links between claims are unclear. For example, the explanation that children “pass through different age groups” does not clearly connect to learning motor skills. The conclusion also begins with “In conclusion.” as a fragment-like punctuation choice and then uses “while” to join contrasting points awkwardly. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make each sentence’s relationship to the previous one explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “guided activities,” “fine motor,” “teamwork,” “leisure time,” and “attachment.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several word choices or spellings are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning less clear. Examples include “grass motor skills” for “gross motor skills,” “skiils,” “beacuse,” and “matured” where “mature” is intended. Phrases such as “make a friends” and “upper school level” are also unnatural. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations related to early childhood education, rather than relying on broad or imprecise expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including clauses with “when,” “before,” and “because,” but control is inconsistent and errors occur frequently. For example, “kids should be attend” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “I am agree” needs a different construction. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “make a friends” and “In conclusion.” followed by a new sentence fragment-like transition. These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, especially modal verbs, subject–verb agreement, and article use, then build longer sentences and check punctuation.
