Student answer (Band 5.0)
There has been an ongoing debate regarding whether offsprings should sent to school at a very young age or their parents should wait and send there children directly to primary school. In my opinion, sending children to kinder garden has plethora of benefits compared to few possible drawbacks.
To begin with the positives, when children go to preschool first, although it is for five- six hours, it introduces them to a system that they will be following for next decade of their lives. As, in preschools, they are introduced to basic manners, cooperation and coexisting in an evironment. For example, it has been noticed that kids who go to daycare tend to be more responsible in thier lives as compared to others. Consequently, because they are told imperative lessons from a very young age.
On the other side, sending children at a young age to daycares can be negative at times. Many children are completely naive and not yet prepared for the outer world at that age.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You give a clear opinion in the introduction, stating that preschool has “a plethora of benefits” compared with its drawbacks, and you identify relevant advantages such as learning manners and cooperation. However, the response addresses the task only partially: the advantages are briefly explained, while the disadvantage is only asserted (“not yet prepared for the outer world”) and is not supported with a reason or example. The discussion also ends without a conclusion that weighs the two sides. The response is 167 words, so it does not meet the required minimum of 250 words; this leaves too little space to develop both sides. To improve, explain each point, add a relevant example, and summarise your position at the end.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introductory position, a paragraph on advantages, and a paragraph beginning “On the other side” for disadvantages. This helps the reader identify the main sections. However, progression is limited because the final paragraph contains only one undeveloped point, and there is no concluding paragraph. Some linking is mechanical or unclear: “To begin with the positives” and “On the other side” signal sections, but “Consequently” introduces a fragment rather than a complete result. The sentence beginning “As, in preschools” is also disconnected from the preceding sentence. Develop each paragraph around a clear main idea, connect explanations and examples explicitly, and finish with a brief conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt some less common vocabulary, including “ongoing debate,” “cooperation,” “coexisting,” and “imperative lessons,” and the general topic remains understandable. However, the range is limited and several choices or spellings are inaccurate, which makes parts of the response less natural. For example, “offsprings” is not the appropriate plural here, “kinder garden” should be written as “kindergarten,” and “outer world” is an imprecise way to describe children encountering wider social settings. “Plethora” is also rather formal and does not fit smoothly with “benefits” in this sentence. Aim for accurate, natural collocations such as “early childhood education,” “social skills,” and “adjust to a classroom environment,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a concession in “although it is for five-six hours,” and the main message is generally recoverable. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. In the opening, “whether offsprings should sent” is missing “be” (“should be sent”), while “their parents should wait and send there children” has an incorrect possessive and an awkward structure. The sentence “As, in preschools…” is incomplete, and “Consequently, because…” is also a fragment. There are further problems with articles and verb forms, as in “for next decade” and “kids who go … tend to be more responsible … as compared to others.” Practise complete sentence construction and check each clause for a subject and finite verb.
