Student answer (Band 5.5)
A few parents send their children to preschool when they are three or four years old while, others choose to send their children to primary school when they old enough. Sending children at young age to preschool have its advantages and disadvantages.
Send childrean at young age to preschool makes them independent. When children goes to primary school they learn various things such as washing their hands before and after eating, organizing the toys after playtime, cleaning their area, and eating by themselves. All these experiences make children do their work by themselves. Children learn to do their tasks independently by observing their classmates.
Another reason is preschools helps children to grow their minds in secure and safe places. Through various activities like group painting, role playing and molding clay helps young minds to coperate with others especially, children learn team work and taking turns.
However, other parents have a veiwpoint that child should spend their first three years with family. Spending more time with families make children emotionally connected to their families. Children who spend more time with their parents have less anger issues as they feel safe and stable. By doing this, children learn there culture rituals from the elders.
Burden is another concerrn because parents believe that children get upset when they go to preeschool at young age. Getting up early and getting ready is like pressure for three or four years old. It act as a burden to them and this could disturb them emotionally. With this children would feel burden as they are forced to awake early.
In conclusion, It is seen that sending young children to preschool could be benificial becuse they learn differnt things. However , others are concerend that children could be affected by the burden .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the question by discussing preschool benefits—independence and cooperation—and concerns about family time and the pressure of early routines. The conclusion also gives a general summary. However, the discussion is only partly developed: for example, the claim that preschool helps children “grow their minds” is broad, and the point about emotional effects is asserted without a specific explanation or example. Your position is not fully clear because the conclusion says preschool “could be beneficial” but does not explain how you weigh this against the disadvantages. To strengthen the response, explain each main idea with a concrete example and make your overall view more definite. The response meets the stated length requirement; 14 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two paragraphs presenting advantages, two presenting disadvantages, and a conclusion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. You also use basic linking expressions such as “Another reason,” “However,” and “In conclusion.” At times, though, connections are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “By doing this” does not clearly identify which action it refers to, and “With this” introduces the final disadvantage without a precise link to the preceding sentence. Some ideas within paragraphs could also be ordered more clearly, particularly the shift from preschool routines to emotional effects. Use more precise referencing and connect each explanation directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “independent,” “team work,” “taking turns,” and “emotionally connected.” There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “emotionally stable” and “burden.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors are noticeable. Examples include “grow their minds,” “anger issues,” and “learn there culture rituals”; these are either imprecise or unnatural in this context. Misspellings such as “coperate,” “veiwpoint,” and “benificial” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, “develop their cognitive skills” is clearer than “grow their minds,” while “cultural traditions” is more natural than “culture rituals.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a conditional idea in “children would feel burden as they are forced to awake early.” However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction and basic grammar occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “when they old enough” is missing a verb, “Sending children at young age … have” has problems with articles and subject–verb agreement, and “When children goes” uses the wrong verb form. The sentence beginning “Through various activities … helps” is also structurally incomplete. Practise forming complete sentences with accurate subjects and verbs, and check articles, agreement, and punctuation. More reliable control of these basics will make your ideas easier to understand.
