Student answer (Band 5.5)

Learning plays a vital role in everyone's life.A number of people believe that children should start the preschool at the age of three or four. Rest of the individuals think that children should old enough for starting the primary school education,so that they can enhance their understand skill. I will eleborate merits and demerits of this debate in the subsequent paragraphs.

The significant factor is children can adapt the atmosphere of the learning centre easily. When children will join the school at the early age, they will involve in the educational environment with having plenty of attractive books and proper area. The decoration of the school area encourage them to partcipate in many activities.Consequently, they can do more concentrate on their studies as well as follow the rules and regulations in the early age.In addition to this, students become aware about bad and good habits in the school. When children meet up with their other friends who belong to same age, they can play with them and learn, therefore it helps them to learn various common habits, for instance toddlers can boost up the communication skill, co-operational skills while sharing.

On the other hand, children may face the burden of the study in the eary age. They might be have less time of play and time for the family, because childhood is the best time to entertainment. Moreover, children can get tired easily and may face some health issues in the young age. Children can feel unsecure in the primary school from other students and teachers.Due to this, they are unable to talk with anyone and feel unsafe.

In conclusion, preschool learning plays a vital role.Although it has numerous positives, but negative cannot be avoided like, feel unsecure, burden.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the question by describing possible benefits of early social and educational exposure and drawbacks such as reduced playtime, tiredness, and feeling unsafe. The examples about sharing and developing communication skills help make the advantages relevant. However, several points are asserted rather than explained: for instance, the link between school decoration and concentration is unclear, and the concern about feeling unsafe in primary school is not clearly connected to preschool attendance. Your conclusion repeats that there are positives and negatives but does not give a clear, considered summary of which effects matter most. Develop each main point with a clearer explanation or example, and make the relationship between your ideas and the question more explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on advantages, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. This makes the overall direction easy to follow. You also use signposts such as “In addition to this,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion.” At times, however, connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “therefore it helps them to learn various common habits” does not clearly show how the preceding ideas lead to this result, while the final sentence lists drawbacks without integrating them into a summary. Some sentences also run together because punctuation and spacing are inconsistent. Use clearer links between cause and effect, and ensure each paragraph develops one central point in a logical sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of vocabulary relevant to education and childhood, including “educational environment,” “activities,” “communication skill,” and “co-operational skills.” These choices show an attempt to express ideas beyond very basic language. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear. Examples include “understand skill,” “do more concentrate,” “eary age,” and “feel unsecure.” Some expressions, such as “the burden of the study,” are also not natural in this context. Aim for accurate, natural combinations rather than adding more ambitious wording: for example, describe children as developing “understanding” or “social skills,” and explain that they may have “less time to play.” Proofreading spelling and word forms would improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional and subordinate structures such as “When children will join the school…” and “because childhood is the best time…”. This shows some range, but control is limited: complex sentences often contain errors, and several basic patterns are also inaccurate. For example, “children should old enough” is missing a verb, “They might be have” combines incompatible verb forms, and “When children will join” uses an unsuitable tense after “when.” There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “the decoration … encourage” and the run-on punctuation around “activities.Consequently.” Practise reliable sentence patterns and check verb forms, agreement, and punctuation before using longer structures.
