Student answer (Band 5.0)

Packed food and drink proudcts contain high level of sugar. Health problems are caused by company's purchased product. As it shold be more expensive so people should not buy the product and consume less sugar.

I strongly disagree with this statement people can buy according to their wish. There should not be that turn sugary products into higher price so that consumer would purchase it less and consume less sugar.

To begin with, company puts a lot of sugar in their product but what should a person do who has sugar somtimes his wish is to eat something sweet so what he do. As it cause many health problems like sugar, diabetes, obesity. For old people they cannot eat sugar too much, but if they like sugary product. Company should make products with balanced sugar or can sugar tablets in products which has no calories, that products can be eaten by old people.

Moreover, in festivals people have the wish to eat sweet product, companies will not blame himself they do that process repeatedly they will put a lot of sugar in the proudct so that tasteshould be good but for taste companies are destroying human health. They just focusing on their own profit. They do not care about human health.

This concludes companies should make healthy products which contains balanced amount of sugar or less sugar so that people of all age group can eat their product. If sugary products will be expensive no one will buy it and companies will get loss.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

Your position is stated clearly at the start of the second paragraph: “I strongly disagree,” and you give relevant reasons, including personal choice, health concerns, and companies’ responsibility to offer lower-sugar products. However, the response only partly answers the central question of whether higher prices would reduce consumption. The claim that “if sugary products will be expensive no one will buy it” is not explained and conflicts with your disagreement, while the discussion of people who want sweets does not show why price increases are ineffective. Develop two clear reasons, support them with specific examples, and explain how each supports your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To begin with” and “Moreover,” and a conclusion. These markers help readers identify the stages of your answer. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the first body paragraph moves from a person’s wish to eat sweets to health conditions and then to sugar tablets without explaining the links. Some references, such as “that products,” are difficult to follow, and the conclusion introduces the unsupported claim that higher prices mean nobody will buy the products. Organise each paragraph around one reason, connect each example explicitly to it, and make the conclusion consistent with your stated position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “sugary products,” “consumer,” “obesity,” “profit,” and “human health,” so the reader can generally understand the subject. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts difficult to read. For example, “company’s purchased product” does not clearly express your meaning, “has sugar” is imprecise for a person with diabetes, and “taste should be good” is awkward. There are also misspellings such as “proudcts” and “somtimes.” Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing pricing, consumption, and health, and check spelling and natural word combinations during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer structures, such as “As it cause many health problems like sugar, diabetes, obesity,” and use a conditional in “If sugary products will be expensive…”. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. For instance, “company puts” needs a plural subject or an article, “products which contains” has incorrect agreement, and “I strongly disagree with this statement people can buy…” joins two clauses without suitable punctuation. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “although,” or “if.”
