Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, many food and drink products consume high level of sugar , which effect on people health. Sugary products should be made more cheaper, so people not consume more sugar. I fully agree with sugary products should be made more cheaper so people not affordable it.
Firstly, if people eat sugary products so it may concern health problems like diabetes and obesity and it cause harmful for people health. Sometimes it damage people kidney and heart so it is very serious kind of health problem in people life but if people aware from it and they do not eat many foods which contain more sugar so it gives benefit for them. For example, India is most sugary products eating country and people eat more sugary products but government take action on this and sugary products more cheaper than past.
Secondly, if people take care , while they purchase products so that time if they check products, which have how many sugar use in food so it may be benefit for him because of government law of food safety tell companies to when they make food so it is neccesery to add label of sugar and they tell public to whenever they purchase any kind of foods so that time it is neccessery to check how many sugar add in product. For example, all companies follow government law and they write their label on their food packet and people responsibility to check label of sugar while they purchase.
In conclusion, both perspective is well but i think we should not eat sugary products.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt but contains a significant logical contradiction. You argue that sugary products should be made 'more cheaper' to discourage consumption, which is the opposite of the prompt's suggestion to increase prices. Furthermore, your position is inconsistent; you state you agree with the idea of making products cheaper, but then conclude that we should not eat them. The ideas are under-developed, and the example regarding India is confusing and does not clearly support your argument. To improve, ensure your position is clearly stated and consistently supported throughout the essay, and double-check that your arguments logically align with the prompt's premise.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'if people' and 'so that time'. The transition between ideas is sometimes abrupt, and the logical flow is hindered by the contradictory arguments mentioned in the task achievement section. While there is an attempt to use linking words like 'Firstly' and 'In conclusion', the overall progression of ideas lacks clarity. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'people', 'food', and 'products'. There are several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'consume high level of sugar' (should be 'contain high levels') and 'not affordable it' (should be 'cannot afford them'). The phrasing is often simplistic, which limits your ability to convey complex ideas effectively. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to health, economics, and nutrition, and pay closer attention to word forms and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('it cause harmful'), article usage, and sentence fragments. For example, 'which effect on people health' should be 'which affects people's health'. The misuse of 'more cheaper' is a recurring error. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the text from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of comparative adjectives.
