Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays people are becoming addictive to the ready to eat package food products and drinks, without knowing the ingredients use to make such food products. High content of sugar used in such products cause the negative impact on the health of the people. I disagree with the statement that increased in the price of such products can help to avoid such foods.
It is true that, packaged food products are made up from extreme sugar. The sugar level in these products release the happy hormone or dopamine, due to which people get addicted to such food products and feel more and more cravings for the sugary food products. Instead of increasing the price of such products, creating awarness among the people about the negative impact of it, is more beneficial. With the help of right marketing, messages and advertising awarness can be create among the consumers.
Highlighting the real incidence of both the impact - positive and negative, so, the comparison between both the impact can click in the mind of consumers and they themshelve get rid of such sugary products. Promoting healthier option and made them easily available to the consumer is also one more way to encourage the people to consume less sugary products.
If the price of such high demanding products will be increased, people may reduce the consumption, but the complete avoidance will not possible. It may possible that, people find other ways to consume such sugary products. Because of increased demand of such products, chances of fake or duplicate products manufacture can be increased. and it increase the health problems more.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a disagreement with the proposed tax. The ideas are relevant, focusing on education and marketing as alternatives to price hikes. However, the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'fake or duplicate products' is an interesting point but lacks sufficient elaboration or evidence to be fully convincing. While the position is consistent throughout, the essay would benefit from more detailed examples or a deeper exploration of why price increases might fail, rather than just stating it as a possibility. Overall, it meets the requirements of the task but remains at a basic level of development.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central theme. There is a progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the transition 'Highlighting the real incidence of both the impact'. Additionally, some sentences feel disjointed, and the referencing is occasionally unclear. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to create a more natural, cohesive text.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their opinion clearly. There are some attempts at more sophisticated vocabulary, such as 'dopamine' and 'addictive', but there are also recurring errors in word choice and form, such as 'awarness' (spelling), 'themshelve' (spelling), and 'made them easily available' (should be 'making'). The range is sufficient to communicate the message, but the lack of precision and frequent minor errors in word formation prevent it from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that, while not impeding communication, are noticeable throughout the text. Examples include 'increased in the price' (should be 'an increase in'), 'awarness can be create' (should be 'awareness can be created'), and 'will not possible' (should be 'will not be possible'). These errors in verb forms, articles, and sentence construction indicate a lack of control over complex structures, keeping the score in the mid-range.
