Student answer (Band 5.0)
In contemporary era, fast food have been increasing throughout the world. It is believed that, many company manufactured food and drink products contain high level of sugar, while sugar products causes several health problems and should be ,made more expansive to encourage people to consume less sugar. I partially agree with this given statement.
To commence with, due to health problems, many people are eating fast food and drinks in daily lives because they have a job and busy schedule our daily lives, they cannot made home food. Regarding health, governments should promote preventive healthcare facilities because regular medical check-ups, balanced diet, and physical activity can reduce illness and improve the overall well-being of citizens. For example, many companies and local markets should provide organic foods and drinks without high level of sugar because people can live healthier well being.
On the other hand, sugar products may harm to any disease such as diabetes, heart problems, and fat because people should avoid expansive harmful high level of sugar products. In relation of increase health awareness many individuals are adopting healthier lifestyles and keep maintain physical health. For instance, governments should implement strict a new policy through local shops and companies because they can provide organic and fresh foods and drinks products to people. Additionally, some expansive products can encourage people because they can try this products and purchase.
To conclude, although many companies are manufacturing foods and drinks products with high level of sugar without quality checking, while some expensive products encourage young generation because they can avoid home made food instead of fast food.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt but lacks a clear, consistent position. While you state you 'partially agree', the arguments provided are often tangential or confusing. For instance, the discussion on 'preventive healthcare' and 'organic foods' does not directly address the core question of whether taxing sugary products is an effective strategy. The ideas are under-developed, and the link between the proposed tax and the desired outcome is not clearly articulated. To improve, ensure every paragraph directly supports your stance on the specific proposal of increasing prices, rather than discussing general health advice.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by unclear transitions and disjointed sentences. For example, the transition 'On the other hand' is used to introduce points that do not effectively contrast with the previous paragraph. Additionally, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the concluding sentence which fails to summarise the argument effectively. Improving the use of linking words like 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'nevertheless' would help create a more professional and readable structure.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms like 'fast food', 'health problems', and 'products'. There are several instances of incorrect word choice, such as 'made home food' instead of 'prepare meals at home' and 'expansive' used incorrectly (meaning 'wide') instead of 'expensive'. The range is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to public health and economic policy, and ensure you use words in their correct context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('fast food have been increasing', 'sugar products causes'), incorrect verb forms ('they cannot made'), and awkward sentence structures ('In relation of increase health awareness'). The range of structures is limited, with a heavy reliance on simple sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and sentence construction. Incorporating more complex sentence structures, such as conditional clauses or relative clauses, will help demonstrate better control over English grammar.
