Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of increasing prices on sugary products. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While you provide relevant examples, such as the mention of 'Gopal' or 'Go Zero', the explanation of how price increases specifically influence consumer behavior is underdeveloped. The essay touches on the health consequences and potential solutions, but the link between the proposed tax and the actual reduction in consumption could be more robustly argued. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explored with clear logical steps rather than just listing potential solutions.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Moreover', 'In addition', and 'First/Second', to guide the reader. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. Additionally, there are instances where the progression between sentences feels disjointed, particularly in the second paragraph where the transition from fast food to nitrogen gas and then to health problems is abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall flow of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. You use some relevant terms like 'carcinogenic', 'obesity', and 'consumption', but there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'produce by' instead of 'produced by', 'manufactured companies' instead of 'food manufacturers', and 'self-life' instead of 'shelf-life'. Furthermore, phrases like 'I am agree' and 'this might be impact on there consumer' show a limited control over natural English collocations. To improve, focus on learning word families and common collocations used in academic writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, with frequent errors in basic grammar. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'this kind of product cause'), article usage, and verb forms (e.g., 'Gopal is ban' instead of 'was banned'). Complex structures are attempted but often contain errors, such as 'This encourage to people to consume less sugar products'. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of grammatical errors, particularly with verb tenses and prepositions, prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic errors would be highly beneficial.
