Student answer (Band 5.5)
I am partially agree with statement, but I think making these high sugar products more expensive is not the only solution.
I am strongly agree with the statement that products have high levels of sugar can increase the level of sugar in the blood and eventually has negative effects on body and mind. For example one of my friend got high blood sugar because he consumed more sugar without in proper balance. Whenever he got injure it's quiet difficult for him to recover And thus doctor forbade him from different types of food he loved the most. Similarly my another friend striving to lose weight as he was consumed more sugar daily.
But I am not agree with statement that the price of products having sugar should be increased because that's not the only and most convenient solution. For example we can have give lectures to educate people on consequences of consuming high sugar without any protective measures. We can have topics on consequences of taking high sugar in school, Colleges and universities books, so the society has awareness about the consequences and thus consume it with cautions.
Second reason that I am not totally agree with statement because we have large numbers of people in our society which use sugar with cautions and in balance and I have not seen any negative effect of it on there mind and body.
So in conclusion I am not agree with statement we should increase the price of the high sugar products because it's the not the most convenient solution. Instead we should educate our society about the consequences and tell them how to use it in healthy way.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, although the stance is slightly inconsistent (stating 'partially agree' but then arguing against the specific proposal). The ideas are relevant, such as the suggestion of education over taxation, but they are under-developed. The personal examples provided are anecdotal and lack the depth required for a high-scoring academic essay. To improve, you should focus on expanding your arguments with more analytical reasoning rather than relying on personal stories, and ensure your position is consistently maintained throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'For example', 'Similarly', 'Second reason'). There is a lack of sophisticated linking words to connect ideas within and between paragraphs. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the transition between the health effects and the conclusion is abrupt. Improving the variety of transition signals and ensuring smoother flow between sentences would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. You frequently use simple phrases like 'high sugar' and 'negative effects'. There are also some noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'I am partially agree' instead of 'I partially agree' and 'striving to lose weight as he was consumed' instead of 'was consuming'. To reach a higher band, you need to incorporate a wider range of academic vocabulary and ensure that your word choices are precise and grammatically correct in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'my another friend striving'), incorrect verb tenses, and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and comma usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common grammatical slips will help improve your score.
