Student answer (Band 5.0)
No doubt that their is a large number of manufactured companies of food and drinks. Many companies contains high level of sugar and many of them contain low level. Due to the high level of sugar people have health issues like diabetes, body level of sugar and heart attacks. It is definitely a good idea that the price of sugar is gone to high for consume less sugar.
If sugary products should be made more expensive than the normal price of sugar. Manufactured companies also decrease the level of sugar in their products. Government should take this decision because their is a big problem for forthcoming children.
In conclusion, I'm totally agree with this decision to increase the price of manufacture food. Higher cost of product is not buy by a middle class person and the amount of health problems is also decrease, but in India people are going to do protest against this decision. They can't understand the decision they only do protest. People do stop eating outside they eat homemade food not eat in cafe's, restaurants and drinking in bars. They all stop these type of habits and they are started living well. But they don't understand the situation and don't think about their health they eat outside and suddenly if they get disease of any type they complaint against the companies and the owner of the place where they eat. So the idea of increasing price is generally excellent, in my opinion no other idea have best than this.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of increasing prices on sugary products. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. While you mention health issues like diabetes and the potential for companies to reduce sugar levels, these points are not fully extended or supported with detailed reasoning. The argument regarding the situation in India is somewhat tangential and lacks a clear connection to the main thesis, making the overall argument feel underdeveloped. To improve, focus on providing more logical, step-by-step explanations for your claims rather than listing general observations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing and a lack of effective cohesive devices. Transitions between sentences are often missing or mechanical, such as the abrupt shift to the situation in India in the final paragraph. Referencing is sometimes unclear, for example, 'they' is used frequently without a clear antecedent. While there is a basic attempt at paragraphing, the progression of ideas within and between paragraphs is not always smooth, which occasionally makes the writer's intent difficult to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'good idea', 'big problem', and 'excellent'. There are several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'manufactured companies' instead of 'food manufacturers' and 'price of sugar is gone to high' instead of 'price of sugar has increased'. The phrasing 'no other idea have best than this' is grammatically and lexically inaccurate. To reach a higher band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary, including more precise terms related to health, economics, and policy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that often impede communication. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('Many companies contains', 'their is a big problem'), incorrect verb tenses ('they are started living well'), and awkward sentence structures. The use of articles and prepositions is also inconsistent. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, they are often faulty, leading to confusion. A focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring subject-verb agreement would significantly improve the clarity of your writing.
