Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays many products of eating and drinking have a very high level of sugary in then, and people really like to eat and drink that products which really cause health issues. so people start to say that if the prices of sugary product become high people will buy the product less and will consume less sugar. I am not satisfy with this statement the person which is addicted to eating sugary products will consume the product even the product is expencive.
Firstly making the sugary products expensive is not the solution for encourageing people of don't consume the product instant it will become a trend between people that we consume the products even they are expencive instend people or goverment should try different ways like awareness about sugary product on social media and running fitness campaigns to attract people to fittness and because of fittness they will consume less sugar. The prefect example is me because back in time i really like to eat sugary food and I gain so much weight and so health issues and the afreind of mine start a local group in which they encourage younge ones to join and lose weight together and i was really impressed by them and I joinedthe group and in morning we all do walking and running and because of this I don't consume sugary product.
Instent of making sugary product expencive which will effect the economy in the market of sugary products goverment should try to replace the sugary with artifical sugar with is researched by professinals and set the rule of use artificals sugar which is less risky and also cheap in price and benifit of using it is that people can consume as much sugary product as they wish and eating they don't cause any health issues.
In conclusion, making sugary products expensive is not the right way doning this only cause problems the right ways is to attract people to fittness and useing the material that is less risky

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The student addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position of disagreement with the proposal to raise prices on sugary products. The writer presents alternative solutions, such as fitness campaigns and artificial sugar, and supports their viewpoint with a relevant personal anecdote. However, the development of ideas tends to be simplistic and repetitive, and the arguments lack broader societal consideration beyond personal experience and basic economic claims. This corresponds to the Band 6 descriptor, where all parts of the task are addressed with relevant ideas, but some points remain somewhat under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, which helps structure the overall response. However, internal cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. The text relies heavily on basic conjunctions and run-on sentences without adequate punctuation or full stops, leading to sentences like '...the prefect example is me because back in time i really like...'. Paragraph transitions are weak, and referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly in the third paragraph where the link between artificial sugar and economic impact is disjointed. Overall arrangement is coherent enough to follow, but cohesive devices are inadequate and inaccurate, fitting the Band 5 level.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is relatively limited and repetitive, with frequent misspellings and word-form errors such as 'sugary' used as a noun ('level of sugary in then'), 'expencive', 'fittness', 'artificals', and 'doning'. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary like 'addicted', 'professinals', and 'economy', inaccuracies in word choice and spelling are noticeable throughout. These errors occasionally cause slight strain for the reader, though communication is generally maintained. This performance aligns closely with Band 5 lexical requirements.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The student demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying predominantly on long, run-on compound sentences joined by conjunctions like 'and' or 'because' with a near-total absence of correct terminal punctuation. There are frequent, persistent errors in basic grammar, subject-verb agreement, and articles, such as 'the person which is addicted', 'i really like to eat', and 'goverment should try'. Complex sentence attempts are faulty and lack control over punctuation. These frequent errors place the grammatical performance firmly at Band 4.
