Student answer (Band 5.5)
It's rightly said that many manufactured food and drinks products contain enormous amount of sugar which causes health problems specially diabetes. Moreover, sugary product should be made more expensive so people should not be encourage to buy more and more amount of high sugary product for themselves or their kids.
Sugary Products such as Milky Chocolates, Sweets, Candies and various bakery sweet product should be limit to consume regulary because it develops symptoms of diabetes at early age. Once if there is any symptoms like that then it never going to be cure easily without proper treatment and medicines. Sugary products factories and plants should also limit there productions about atleast 5-10% every year, It will be very beneficial for peoples and there healths.
Parents or guardians should nip in the bud at early age for specially the consumption of Candies and Chocolate by there kids. They can cause them Cavity or Tooth decay which can be major problem in future. In addition, Childrens specially between age near 10-14 years should avoid the regular consumption of Softdrink and Energy drink becasue they are made up of high amount articial sweetness, Phosphoric acid and Citric acid which very harmful for liver and metabolism. Teenagers such as 16-22 years old now adays consume nicotine and artificial flavors sweetness in the name of Pods and Vapes which is very harmful for there lungs, It may leads them for major diesease such as asthma.
In my opinion, Sugary product should be limit the production and it's consumption and make alternative of it such as more usage of healty fruits and vegetables which are actually beneficial for health. Also making sugary products expensive will automatically decrease the usage of it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task and takes a clear position that sugary products cause health problems and should be made more expensive. However, some ideas are under-developed or lack full explanation. For instance, the suggestion that factories should limit production by 5-10% is introduced without examining how this would be enforced or its broader economic impact. The examples provided, such as mentioning specific age groups like 10-14 and 16-22, help support the position, but the line of reasoning regarding taxation and pricing is somewhat overshadowed by general health advice. To reach a higher level, every main idea needs to be fully extended and supported with robust argumentation rather than broad assertions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement with a clear stance presented in the introduction and reinforced in the conclusion. Paragraphing is used to separate distinct themes, such as the dangers of specific sweets, the impact on children and teenagers, and the concluding policy recommendations. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical, and referencing is not always clear. For example, expressions like 'Once if there is any symptoms like that' create awkward transitions between sentences, and the progression within paragraphs occasionally feels disjointed. To achieve a higher band, cohesive devices must be managed more naturally, and logical relationships between sentences need to be smoother and more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, demonstrating an attempt to incorporate less common items relevant to health and lifestyle, such as 'metabolism', 'cavity', and 'artificial sweetness'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling that occasionally impede communication or look unnatural, such as 'healty' instead of healthy, 'there healths' instead of their health, and 'articial' instead of artificial. Collocations are also sometimes weak, as seen in 'high sugary product'. While the writer manages to convey the central message, these lexical slips prevent the response from demonstrating the precision and flexibility required at the next level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over sentence structure. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that cause difficulty for the reader. Issues include problems with subject-verb agreement and plurals, such as 'manufactured food and drinks products contain enormous amount', 'factory and plants should also limit there productions', and 'Childrens specially between age'. Additionally, articles are sometimes missing or misused, and verb structures are flawed in places, such as 'sugary product should be made more expensive so people should not be encourage'. These persistent errors mean that error-free sentences are not frequent enough to secure a higher band score.
