Student answer (Band 5.5)
Over the recent few decades, individuals face enormous health hazards due to eating more junk food and doing less physical activities. Therfore, most of the processed food items such as food and drinks contains more level of sugar which affects health of consumers. Thus, these kind of commodities should me more expensive so that people can not afford these items on regular basis. I agree with the given statement and discuss the view points in the upcoming paragraphs.
To commence with, there are various reasons to make unhealthy food more expensive. First and foremost, youngsters consume more packed food than others. They are the backbone of nation if they eat less nutritious food then they are not able to do work more effectively and efficiently which affect their health and the society. This is the prominent reason to make sugary products and more calories food and drinks expensive than fruits and vegetables. The another reason is that the less availability of these food will decrease the interest of people to buy them more. Manufacturers should less produce and sell at local markets which encourage young ones to eat more home cooked food.
Morever, they can produce alternatives to it such as produce more healthy snacks and cookies than high calories food items. These items should be more affordable so that people buy them and enjoy there tastes. In addition, it is the responsibility of regime to conduct seminars and campaigns by educated doctors to motivate public about eating healthy food than market food which have long term health issues and they can face obesity which can not tackle easily.
In conclusion, it put detrimental effect on the life of individuals who eat processed food more. It is good to impose tax on these items will help individuals to buy them less. On the other hand , doctors should motivate people regarding eating habits of the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that sugary products should cost more, and you give relevant reasons, including reducing purchases and encouraging healthier choices. You also suggest complementary measures such as healthier alternatives and public-health campaigns. However, some points are more fully addressed than others. For example, the claim that young people are the “backbone of nation” does not clearly explain how higher prices would improve their health, and the suggestion that manufacturers should produce less is asserted rather than supported with a specific example. Develop each main reason through a clearer cause-and-effect explanation or a relevant example, and keep the discussion focused on the effect of price increases. This would make your response more fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Ideas generally progress from reasons for higher prices to alternatives and awareness campaigns, and linking phrases such as “First and foremost” and “In conclusion” help signal stages. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The sentence beginning “The another reason” does not clearly connect reduced availability with manufacturers’ actions, while “Morever” introduces alternatives without a smooth link to the previous point. The conclusion also adds doctors’ advice rather than clearly summarising the main argument. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each supporting detail explicitly to its main point, and make references such as “these items” unambiguous.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “processed food,” “nutritious,” “affordable,” “obesity” and “impose tax.” These choices make your position and general subject clear, and you attempt more formal expressions such as “detrimental effect.” However, inaccurate word choice and collocation sometimes make the writing less natural: “more level of sugar,” “less availability,” and “market food” are not well suited to the intended meanings. There are also spelling errors, including “Therfore” and “Morever,” and some repetition of “food” and “people.” Build precision by learning common collocations for health and pricing, and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional and cause-and-effect structures, as in “if they eat less nutritious food then…” and “so that people buy them.” This shows an effort to express relationships between ideas. However, errors in agreement, articles, plurals and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “food and drinks contains” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “these kind of commodities” has a number mismatch. The sentence about youngsters being the backbone of the nation is also difficult to follow because its clauses are not clearly controlled. Practise checking each sentence’s subject and verb, and divide long sentences when the relationship between clauses is unclear.
