Student answer (Band 5.0)
Today, obesity and sugar are the main causes of many health problems. Many manufactured food and drinks contain high amount of suger such as energy drinks and cakes. Many people are trying to ban it or to made it more expensive to encourage people to consume less suger. From my perspective it not a benefitial way to remove the suger from our deit. We should limit a certain quantity which is used in any type of product and we also need to aware the people about the disadvantage of suger. So, i am completely disagree with that statement but also supports its reason.
Suger are not only use in food and drinks it also have been used as a medician in many diseases.Consequntaly, we are not able to ban it and made it expensive. So, we should fix a certain quantity of suger and also aware the people about the disadvantages of suger. It make it easy to remove it from the society and also make it a worse thing in the veiw of people.
Now, some people use it as a source of dopamin which a type of liquid which is released when someone is feeling happy. They donot know the effects of suger on their health. Today most of the people are facing the diseases which is cause because of the effect of suger such as diabaties, obesity and heart diseases. So, we want to aware the people about the diseases cause by the use of suger.
In conclusion, the governoment should build a departement who check the qauntity of suger in all the products and made a huge fines on those who use high quantity of suger in their products.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall disagreement and suggest alternatives: setting limits on sugar in products and informing the public about health risks. You also identify relevant consequences, including diabetes, obesity and heart disease. However, the response only partly develops the central question of whether sugary products should cost more. The claim that sugar is used as “a medician in many diseases” is not explained or connected convincingly to pricing, and the final proposal for government inspections and fines shifts toward regulation without showing how it answers the price question. Develop a direct argument about whether higher prices would reduce consumption, and support it with a specific example. The response meets the stated length requirement; the eight words copied from the prompt are excluded from the count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Ideas are grouped by topic, and linking expressions such as “So,” “Now” and “In conclusion” help signal movement between points. However, progression is limited: the first body paragraph repeats the proposal to set a sugar limit and raise awareness, while the second repeats the need to inform people about health effects. Some connections are unclear, particularly the move from sugar as a medicine to the conclusion that it should not be made expensive. Build each paragraph around one distinct reason, explain how it supports your position, and use clearer referencing so repeated ideas do not replace development.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “manufactured food and drinks,” “consume less,” “quantity,” and names of health conditions. This gives the reader a general understanding of your concerns. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “suger,” “aware” and “diseases.” Spelling errors such as “obesity,” “diabaties,” “governoment” and “qauntity” (as written) make the writing less clear, while phrases such as “a source of dopamin” and “a type of liquid” are imprecise. Aim for accurate topic collocations and explain technical terms simply. More precise vocabulary would help distinguish your points about product limits, public education and pricing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a contrast with “but” and a relative clause in “diseases which is cause because of the effect of suger.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “Suger are,” “it also have been used,” “we also need to aware,” and “I am completely disagree”; these show problems with agreement, verb forms and missing grammatical elements. Sentence boundaries and spacing are also inconsistent, as in “diseases.Consequntaly.” Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and use a few reliable complex forms, checking each sentence for agreement, articles and complete verb phrases.
