Student answer (Band 5.0)
Unlike the past when the people were habituated with raw food and natural drinks like fruit juice, buttermilk and berry wines etc, they were physicaly more healhy and high in energy level. However, at present people more often having health issues due to ready food and drinks which cotains high level of sugar. I stands with, by incresing the price of this products we can get control over consumption of it. I have planty of facts & avidance which bulster my point.
People may argue with, the higher cost will restrict the middle class and less affulent people but what about the richer part of society. I argue with, the affulent people shares very small part of society in terms of populatin. However, the hike of price will slow down the tide of consumption universaly.
The poor people will have limited budget for sepnds and it can be divert toward the god & healthy food by increseing the price of manufactiured food. The richer will have larger budget with compare to these poorer people so they can buy an helthy products, manufactured products & the mediciens too to avoide the adverse effect but the other cant do so.
By considering all the upper points i extremly agree to increse the price of sugery products in order to lead a heal

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear by the end: you “extremly agree” that sugary products should cost more, and you give relevant points about reducing consumption and the different effects on poorer and wealthier consumers. However, the argument is only partly developed. The claim that a price rise will “slow down the tide of consumption universaly” is not supported with an example or explanation, and the discussion of wealthier people buying medicines does not clearly show why higher prices are an effective policy. The opening comparison with past diets is also broad and not linked closely to the proposal. The response is 30 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain and support your ideas. Develop each reason with a clear example and a direct link to your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, two paragraphs presenting reasons, and a concluding statement. This helps the reader identify your general position and the main points. However, progression between ideas is sometimes difficult to follow. For example, the paragraph about poorer people shifts to what richer people can afford, then to medicines, without clearly explaining how these points connect to the price increase. Linking phrases such as “However” and “By considering all the upper points” are used, but some transitions feel mechanical or do not accurately signal the relationship between ideas. The conclusion is also incomplete, so it does not fully bring the argument together. Organise each body paragraph around one reason, explain it in sequence, and use clear references to connect sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “consumption,” “manufactured products,” “adverse effect,” and “affluent,” and you communicate the general subject of sugar and health. However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to read, such as “physicaly,” “bulster,” “populatin,” and “sugery products.” Some phrases are also unnatural or unclear, including “higher cost will restrict the middle class” and “lead a heal.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than using ambitious wording that does not fit the sentence. Proofread spelling carefully, and choose precise expressions such as “reduce consumption” or “healthier alternatives” to make your argument clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrastive opening and clauses beginning with “but” and “so.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences hard to understand. For example, “people more often having health issues” lacks a correctly formed verb, while “I stands with” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. The opening sentence combines “Unlike” with “but” in a way that leaves the structure incomplete, and “the affluent people shares” also has an agreement error. Articles and sentence boundaries need attention as well. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, verb forms, and punctuation before submitting.
