Student answer (Band 5.5)
Significant level of sugary manufactured foods and drinks can be harmful for health of individuals, that's why the price of sweet products can be encouraged to set at high level. So people become discourage to buy them providing a high level price. I would argue that having sugary products are the personal choice of a person which can't be restricted to set a high range price.
People tend to eat sweet products on their own wishes, which can't be controlled or restricted by increasing the price of the product. As because those who like to eat sugary drinks or foods their choice will not be affected by the high cost of those items. People want to eat or share sweet products with their family or friends in any kind of occasion or having sugary items after having lunch or dinner is a trend all over the world, as having desart after a meal is mandatory now a days and we can call it a on going trend. So making sweet products more expensive is can't be a logical solution.
On the other hand, high level containing sweet products can be harmful for the health of the people as sugary items causes many kind of health issues. In some cases doctors suggest their patient to stop having sugar or maintain having a little level of sugar in day to day life. So people need to be aware about their health by themselves. As leading a healthy life is a choice of each person.
In conclusion, i would like to say that the high leveled sweet products which are produced by the various manufacturing company are not healthy for people but eating them is a choice of each individual which can't be controlled by setting a high range price of that sweet items.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is identifiable: you disagree with making sugary products more expensive, arguing that consumption is a personal choice and that price increases may not change the habits of people who enjoy them. You also acknowledge the health risks, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the argument is only partly developed. The claim that consumers will continue buying these products despite higher prices needs explanation or evidence, and the examples about desserts after meals and doctors’ advice do not clearly show why pricing is ineffective. The conclusion repeats your position rather than drawing together the reasoning. To strengthen the response, explain the likely effects of price changes and support your view with a specific, relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The contrast marker “On the other hand” signals a shift to health concerns, and the main position can be followed. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: the first body paragraph moves from personal choice to family occasions and dessert habits without clearly linking these points to the effectiveness of higher prices. Several connections are repetitive or awkward, including repeated references to “choice” and the transition from health risks to personal responsibility. The conclusion largely restates the introduction. Organise each paragraph around one clear reason, then explain how that reason supports your position; use referencing and linking phrases more precisely rather than relying on repeated ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “manufactured,” “sugary,” “health issues,” and “high cost,” which makes the subject clear. However, the range is limited and several phrases are unnatural or imprecise, such as “high level price,” “high leveled sweet products,” and “maintain having a little level of sugar.” Repetition of “sweet products” and “choice” also restricts variety. Spelling and word-form errors such as “desart” and “on going” further reduce accuracy. Aim for natural collocations and more precise terms, for example, “sugar-rich products,” “increase the price,” and “reduce consumption.” Vary key vocabulary only where the alternative fits the meaning, rather than replacing words mechanically.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some passages difficult to read. For example, “having sugary products are the personal choice” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “So making sweet products more expensive is can't be a logical solution” combines incompatible verb forms. Other issues include “those who like to eat … their choice will not be affected,” where the clause structure is unclear, and inconsistent capitalisation of “i.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected subordinate clause. Check agreement, articles and verb patterns, and use punctuation to separate long ideas into manageable sentences.
