Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays in many manufatured food and drinks products contain extreme level of sugars, which is key to health problems. In my opioion, I strogly agree that sugary products should be made more expensive to encourage people to conusme less sugar. However, celebrity and content creators shouldn't promote the product which contains sugar. Also, the government plays the vital role on it.

Initially, The government should set the level for minimum level of sugar in any products. the level should be very less because if it is consume by the consumer, the consumer health shouldn't be affected. In particular country the rule should be set for people by their age to consume sugar. Also, the government should take action on those factories which uses maximum amount of sugar in products. Product which contains sugar in food and drinks should be more expensive than others product. Higher the price, lower the costumer. It should me made expensive, not the standard.

Nowadays, the celebrity and many content creators promote and advertise more about the sugary products because they get more money from the sponsership. If the promotion for particular products is low they will get less attention by people. So, the advertisement should be stopped for sugary products. for instance, Cr7 hora is the popular live streamer of nepal, he always promote about Extreme energy drink. after that, the consume of this product reach at its peak. Popular person should warn about the people to consume less sugar.

In conclusion, I agree that the production of food and drinks contain high levels of sugar, which harm the people by many dangerous disases. In my opinion, the rate of sugary products should be increase to consume less by people and also government should focus on it. Also, celebrity and content creater shouldn't advertise these sugary products.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that sugary products should cost more, and the conclusion restates this view. You also give relevant supporting points, including government action and the influence of celebrity advertising. However, the response only partly develops the central argument about price: it asserts that higher prices will reduce consumption but does not explain how this might work or support it with a clear example. The discussion of sugar limits and advertising is relevant, but these additional proposals sometimes take attention away from the question of making products more expensive. Develop the likely effects of price increases and address possible concerns, such as affordability or whether consumers would switch to healthier products.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs also group related points: government measures are discussed first, followed by advertising. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. For example, the first body paragraph moves from setting sugar limits to age-based rules, factory action and prices without clearly showing how these points connect. Linking phrases such as “Initially,” “Also” and “So” are used, but some connections feel mechanical or do not make the reasoning clearer. The example about the streamer is relevant, yet its relationship to the proposed price increase could be explained more explicitly. Organise each paragraph around one main reason and use clearer references between claims and examples.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “manufactured,” “sponsorship,” “advertise” and “consume,” and the reader can generally identify your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling and collocation errors make parts less natural or occasionally unclear. Examples include “extreme level of sugars,” “the production of food and drinks contain high levels,” and “the rate of sugary products should be increase.” Repetition of “sugar,” “products” and “government” also limits flexibility. Aim to learn common topic collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully; for instance, use “high levels of sugar,” “sugary food and drinks,” and “prices should be increased.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if it is consume by the consumer” and a reason clause beginning “because.” However, errors occur frequently and sometimes make relationships between ideas harder to understand. For example, “the government should set the level for minimum level” has an unclear sentence structure, while “the rule should be set for people by their age to consume sugar” does not clearly express who should consume what. There are also recurring problems with subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries, as in “factories which uses” and “the rate … should be increase.” Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and checking each sentence for a complete, clearly connected clause.
