Student answer (Band 5.0)
A significant number of produced food and drink products made by high percentage of sugar, which can create significant health problems. To inrease the prices of sugary food and dink is not not a best way control sugar consumtion. I completely disagree with this viewpoint because the prices gorwth is not sustainable solution for sugar control, in this essay i will explain some solid apects and provide a strog suggestions as well.
On the one hand, majority of the owrld population used sugar in different foods and cool drinks or juicess, although they are addicted by sugar and some time they buy costly sugar food, cakes, or other type of lunch and dinner in different brands. For instance, at international airports almost all passengers take a tea or other kind of food. so, as a reslut of high of high prices people will never control their daily sugary foods consumption because they are addicted by sugar.
On the other hand, there many ways to control sugar usage in daily life, and this is the resposibility of government offiicials, social and
health organizations, terachers, super stars and any individual who know that sugar can cause a number of health issues. For example, the government must conduct seminars to invite a doctors, and medical experts for public awareness. furthermore, through social media, digital media, and print media high authorities can campain agaisnt sugar and spread positivity for good health to use low sugar food or sugarless foods.
In conclusion, prices growth is the way to waste public money and threat for their health therefore positive advertisements and campain against sugary foods is highly impactful as compare to expensive sugary food and drinks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear disagreement in the introduction and conclusion, and you offer relevant alternatives such as public seminars and media campaigns. However, the response only partly develops the central question of whether higher prices reduce sugar consumption. The claim that people are “addicted by sugar” and therefore “will never control” their consumption is broad and is not supported with a clear explanation or evidence. The airport example is also not closely connected to the effect of price increases. Develop this argument with a specific explanation—for example, how price changes affect different income groups—and address possible benefits or drawbacks before concluding that education is more effective. This would make your position more fully supported and the response more directly focused on the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting points, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers identify the broad structure. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: the first body paragraph moves from general sugar use to airport purchases without clearly showing how this proves that higher prices will not work. Some linking is mechanical, and the conclusion introduces the idea that price growth “waste[s] public money” without developing it earlier. Build each paragraph around one clear claim, then explain and illustrate it in a logical sequence. Use references and transitions to show how each example supports the main argument rather than relying mainly on formulaic connectors.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “public awareness,” “medical experts,” “sugarless foods,” and “health issues.” These choices show that you can communicate the general subject and propose practical measures. However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to read, such as “inrease,” “consumtion,” “campain,” and “positivity for good health.” Several phrases are also unnatural or imprecise: “prices growth,” “addicted by sugar,” and “spread positivity” do not express your meaning clearly. Aim for accurate topic collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, use “raise prices,” “depend on sugary products,” and “promote healthy eating.” More precise vocabulary would help you explain your argument without relying on repeated general terms such as “sugar” and “food.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a contrast introduced by “although” and a sentence beginning “For example.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in sentence structure and verb forms appear in “products made by high percentage of sugar” and “majority of the world population used sugar”; the latter also has problems with agreement and tense. Articles and prepositions are frequently missing or incorrect, as in “not a best way control” and “invite a doctors.” Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, particularly after sentence boundaries. These errors sometimes make the intended relationships difficult to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a subordinate clause, then check articles, subject–verb agreement, and punctuation before adding further complexity.
