Moreover , families become more comfortable in places like park , train station and many more and do not get a problem by the flame of smoking . Make smoking illegal on public places helpful for reducing the percentage of passive as well as active smoker , because passive smokers face more problems than the active ones . Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention benefits like air quality and passive smoking, the explanation remains superficial. For instance, the example regarding India's health department is relevant, but the discussion on 'other measures' could be more deeply explored with specific examples of how education or taxation actually changes behavior. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments lack the depth required for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'Moreover,' and 'On the other hand.' However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'discuss the both point of views.' Additionally, some transitions between sentences feel abrupt. Improving the variety and natural flow of your linking words would help elevate the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'plethora,' 'passive smokers,' and 'consequences.' However, there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'ban smoking' instead of 'banning smoking,' 'the flame of smoking' (which is unclear), and 'the governor' (likely meaning 'the government'). These errors occasionally hinder the precision of your argument. To improve, focus on learning the correct word forms and common collocations associated with the topic of public policy and health.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('the 45% people... are'), incorrect verb forms ('if the smoking make illegal'), and missing articles or prepositions. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent and occur in both simple and complex sentences. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like tense consistency and article usage.
