Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people belives in illegalization of smoking in public places discourage smoking, but some peaple belives that other measures need to reduce smoking. Make smoking illegal in public places is not enough. In my view both point has their own valid reasons.
Once authority makes law and illegalized smoking in public places, an individual will feel humiliated between the number of people. Which leads him or her to encourage in reducing the number of smokes having in day. Still it will not inspire individual to quit smoking. It can have benifit of reducing smokes. Also with high fine authority can eliminate public place smokers. It also provide fresh surrondings. Will prevent passive smoking and increase the health of people. It is very useful and effective cause in public places. But will not efficient with individual personal.
Apart from making public place illegal smoking need to take some other measures to stop an individual smoking. Infletion in prices of smokes will reduce in purchasing of smoke. Also need to certify and introduce license for selling smokes. Also encourage NGOs and rehabe centres for taking initiative to enroll particular individual by providing sevices without any caharges. Authority can move a step forward and take decision about smoking ban in vehicles. Increasing the tax on smoking related products will also benefits on some level. Increasing tax on cigaretts in India will lead to lower nuber sales of cigarett compare to previous year.
In conclusion make smoking illegal will discourage people but will not bring drastic change. We need some other measures like licensing and increased taxation will also help majorly to reduce number of people who are smoking.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a position: you argue that public-place restrictions can help, but are insufficient without further measures. Relevant effects include reducing exposure to passive smoking and creating fresher public surroundings, while your second body paragraph proposes higher prices, licensing, support services and taxation. This covers the task, but some points are asserted rather than explained. For example, the claim that smokers will feel “humiliated” and reduce their daily smoking needs clearer reasoning, and the India tax example would be stronger with a specific explanation of how taxation affects smoking. Your conclusion restates your view, though “both point has their own valid reasons” is less decisive than a clear statement of which approach you consider most effective. Develop and support the main ideas more evenly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph on public-place restrictions, another on additional measures, and a conclusion. The progression from the first view to the second is easy to follow, and linking expressions such as “Apart from” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “Which leads him or her…” is separated from the preceding idea, and “But will not efficient with individual personal” does not clearly connect the limitation to the argument. The second body paragraph also lists several measures without grouping or explaining their relationships. Use complete, clearly linked sentences and organise related proposals together to make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “passive smoking,” “high fine,” “licensing,” “rehabe centres” and “increased taxation.” These choices show an attempt to discuss policy measures rather than relying only on basic terms. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “belives,” “peaple,” “benifit,” “surrondings,” “Infletion,” and “cigaretts” are examples. Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “number of smokes having in day,” “eliminate public place smokers,” and “benefits on some level.” Aim for accurate topic collocations and check spelling carefully; using a smaller set of precise expressions consistently would make the argument clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex forms, including a conditional structure in “Once authority makes law…” and a contrast between what restrictions can and cannot achieve. However, sentence control is uneven, and several sentences are incomplete or have faulty clause structure. “Which leads him or her…” is a fragment, as are “Will prevent passive smoking” and “But will not efficient with individual personal.” There are also errors in agreement and articles, such as “both point has” and “Once authority makes law,” as well as problems with verb forms in “need to certify” and “will also benefits.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise complete sentences, subject–verb agreement and consistent verb patterns, while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
