Student answer (Band 6.5)
There is a debate whether people should be non-vegetarian or not. I largely disagree with that belief that some countries or place do not have vegetarian options and meat have easily nutrition value to complete a demand of full-diet.
To commence with, many of the countries, islands, tribes are located at coastal areas, or in forests where vegetarian food is very less to feed people. In those areas people are usually depend on non-vegetarian food. For example, Canada is surrounded by sea and it has very small population according to the area, here ordinary lives depend on beef, chicken, pork, sea food and so on. which they usually produce inside by country to meet the food requirement and get a great amount of money, additionally it helps to reduce the expenses of importation and it gives direct assistance to increasing earning of ordinary lives by becoming a food producer.
Moreover, all types of non-vegetarian foods are rich in protein, nutrition value which can easily fulfil the demand nutritions. As nowadays people are usually carrying hectic schedules, where they want to feed themselves with a balanced diet which should contain protein, fibre, carbohydrates and other nutritional factors. Those requirements are not possibly fulfill only by vegetarian food. In order to meet those body criterias numerous people add non-vegetarian options into their meals.
To conclude, most of people are ware about balanced diet, nutritional value of food, in which situation they need to have a complete meal which cannot only earn by having leafy foods or vegetarian meals.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed the prompt by taking a clear position against the idea that meat consumption should be banned. You provide two main arguments: geographical necessity and nutritional requirements. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example of Canada is factually questionable and not fully explained in relation to the 'cruelty' aspect of the prompt. To improve, ensure your examples are more relevant and logically connected to the core ethical debate. You have addressed all parts of the task, but the depth of analysis is somewhat superficial, which prevents a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'To commence with', 'Moreover', and 'To conclude' to signal transitions. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some referencing is unclear, such as in the final paragraph where the connection between 'balanced diet' and the conclusion is slightly disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically builds upon the previous one will help improve the flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your meaning, such as 'nutritional value', 'hectic schedules', and 'balanced diet'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'meat have easily nutrition value' and 'body criterias'. These errors occasionally impede the precision of your argument. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure that you are using words in their correct grammatical form. Expanding your vocabulary to include more academic or topic-specific terms would also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is a good start. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('meat have'), article usage ('the' before countries), and sentence fragments. For example, 'In those areas people are usually depend on' contains a redundant verb form. While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors will help improve your accuracy.
