Student answer (Band 6.5)
There are several people who owns the farms and keep the animals just for selling them for the consumption and for the use in different fields such as in production of clothes and boots. So, I also agree with this statement.
To begin with, even though humans are omnivores and we do consume everything but growing them solely for this purpose is just not right. As, even though it is a highly profitable business and one of the way to continuous uprising demand of the consumers. For instance, Burger King alone sells millions of chicken burgers every day and for ensuring there continuous supply they keeps the farms.
On the other hand, this method is not only cruel but also inhumane as it also effects the mindset of the animals and makes them more depressed and unhealthy as they other animals getting butchered in front of there eyes. However, due to the all the technological advancement all these big enterprises can adopt different method for there demand such as producing industrial meat, to ensure that no other species will be killed just to fulfill the demand of the human.
In my opinion, as a species we could never stop eating meat but instead what we can do to minimize this killing is to look for alternate methods and let other species live there own lifes too.
In conclusion, investing in other methods such as producing industrial meat rather then just consuming the animals would be more humane and the right step rather then just feeding them only for the sole purpose of our own use whatever it would be.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of the statement. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the cruelty of farming and suggest 'industrial meat' as a solution, the arguments lack depth and specific supporting evidence. For instance, the mention of Burger King is a good start, but it is not fully linked to the broader ethical argument. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed point that directly supports your stance. The conclusion is a bit repetitive, restating the main idea without adding a final, insightful thought.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with,' 'On the other hand,' and 'In conclusion' to signal transitions. However, some of these are used mechanically, and there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, such as in the second paragraph where the transition from the Burger King example to the cruelty argument is abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next will help elevate your score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your opinions clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'omnivores,' 'inhumane,' and 'enterprises.' However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'continuous uprising demand' (should be 'rising demand') and 'let other species live there own lifes' (should be 'their own lives'). To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure you are using the correct forms of words, as these minor errors occasionally distract the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people who owns,' 'they keeps') and pronoun usage (e.g., 'there eyes' instead of 'their eyes'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some run-on sentences and minor errors that persist throughout the text. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your use of 'there,' 'their,' and 'they're' is accurate, as these errors occur frequently.
