Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is undeniably true that animals are the God's creatures. Owing to this, large number of people assume that human being should not eat meat because is cruel for human to eat animals. I largely agree with this notion and I will explain my viewpoints along with valid example in the subsequent segments.

Commencing with the most prominent reason why people should not eat meat? To be more clear, in this contemporary era, wildlife is disappearing day by day so, if folks get consumption of the animal then next generation will not see the wildlife creatures even not in Zoo's. In addition, as everyone has rights to live the life until last breath. Just for the taste of tongue, human kills the animals which is now become bigger issue for the beats to escape themself from individuals. To cite an example, according to the report of the Survey which was conducted by National Wild Life Cares Team revealed that more than half of the animal child survive their life alone because their parents kill by human just for their needs.

Turning towards the flip side of this phenomenon, the first and foremost point is that killing livestock is part of the food chain system. To be more precise, if human will not consume the meat it would be difficult for Authorities to maintain the food chain system' Even though, law makers and societies cannot handle the wildlife population. As a result, consumption of animal is part of maintaining the animal population and food chain.

To put in conclusion, it is evident that human should not dead animals on large percentile because it imbalance the food chain level. However, more consumption also resulted in disappear the creatures.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. The argument regarding wildlife conservation is somewhat tangential to the core issue of animal cruelty. Furthermore, the second body paragraph presents a counter-argument that contradicts the author's initial stance, creating confusion about the final position. The conclusion is also contradictory, as it suggests humans should not eat animals, yet mentions the necessity of the food chain. To improve, ensure that each paragraph directly supports the main thesis and that the conclusion aligns with the arguments presented.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and unclear transitions. For example, the transition 'Turning towards the flip side' introduces a point that undermines the previous argument rather than balancing it. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical or misused, such as 'To be more clear' or 'Even though, law makers'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of ideas. Improved use of linking words and clearer topic sentences would enhance the overall structure.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'get consumption of the animal', 'beats to escape themself', and 'dead animals on large percentile'. These errors occasionally cause the reader to pause. While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'food chain' and 'livestock', the overall range is limited, and the phrasing often sounds unnatural or unidiomatic. Expanding the range of vocabulary and focusing on correct collocations would significantly improve this score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but grammatical errors are frequent and pervasive. Issues include incorrect article usage ('the God's creatures'), subject-verb agreement ('human kills the animals'), and awkward sentence construction ('if human will not consume the meat it would be difficult'). Punctuation is also problematic, particularly with the misuse of apostrophes in 'Zoo's' and 'beats'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence structure prevents the essay from reaching a higher band score.
