Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against the statement. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While the health benefits of meat are mentioned, the supporting examples are fragmented (e.g., 'Eggs, Meats, Chicken'). The counter-argument regarding animal welfare is addressed, but the reasoning—suggesting that animals might overpopulate and consume humans—is illogical and lacks academic credibility. To improve, you should focus on providing more coherent, realistic arguments and ensuring that each point is fully extended with logical explanations rather than listing items or making extreme claims.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or misused. For example, 'To elaborate it' and 'To commence with' are used, but the internal flow within paragraphs is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing and unclear referencing. The transition between the counter-argument and the conclusion is also abrupt. Improving the logical flow between sentences and using a wider variety of linking words more naturally would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary range is adequate for the task but lacks precision. There are several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'take meat on their daily diet' instead of 'include meat in their diet' and 'human beings wellness' instead of 'human well-being'. Some terms are used repetitively or in ways that sound unnatural, such as 'contemporary epoch' and 'masses'. To reach a higher band, focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary rather than attempting to use complex-sounding words that do not fit the context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('meat can provides', 'animal plays'), article usage, and pluralization ('an individuals', 'folks bones'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be highly beneficial.
