Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this contemporary Era, everything is replaceable with modern technology. I completely agree with this statement that eating animals is unkind thing. Eating meat for personal health growth is not a good thing. There can be more solutions in which people can still have protein and nutritional food rather than having an animal as their source of food.

To protect animals from being consumed by humans there should be some possible solutions like making alternative food which can provide the similar kind of protein and nutrients that human gets after consuming animas as their food. Because animals have their own lives and they have equal right to live as human do.

For reducing this consumption there would be a huge impact on business but to protect the economic growth and to prevent getting losses in the business. I would suggest increasing using the animals for the goods which can be extracted from them rather than selling their meat for instance, wool from sheep, milk from buffalo and eggs from chicken, with these practices there would not be a bad impact on the business and the economic growth. These actions will make a big impact on humanity as well in which people will tend to reduce the consumption of meat and will shift to gain the benefits from natural recourses like cottage cheese, milk and vegetables.

To conclude, I would say that having this much big change in people life is not an easy task but also not impossible. With the help of togetherness of people, it can lead to a positive effect on environment and on humaninty.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of the statement. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you suggest alternatives to meat consumption, the argument regarding the economic impact is slightly contradictory; you suggest using animals for goods like wool and milk to protect the economy, but this still involves animal exploitation, which may conflict with the ethical premise of your argument. To reach a higher band, ensure your supporting points are more logically consistent and fully explored. The conclusion is brief but summarizes your stance effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'for instance' and 'to conclude,' but the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical. For example, the transition between the second and third paragraphs could be smoother. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear, such as the phrase 'these practices' in the third paragraph, which refers back to a list of animal products. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer to their antecedents will enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contemporary,' 'nutritional,' and 'humanity.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'personal health growth' instead of 'personal health' or 'nutritional needs,' and 'togetherness of people' instead of 'collective effort.' There is also a spelling error ('humaninty'). To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and academic vocabulary. While you attempt to use less common items, the phrasing often feels slightly unnatural, which limits the score to the 6.0 band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include article usage ('the economic growth'), subject-verb agreement ('human gets'), and awkward phrasing ('having this much big change'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main point, they are noticeable and occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with articles, pluralization, and sentence construction. Increasing the variety of complex structures while maintaining accuracy will help you achieve a higher band.
