Student answer (Band 5.0)
In recent years, there is debate that people should avoid to eat the meat i am partially agree or disagree with this point because i think eating meat is part is health and balanced lifestyle. In the upcoming paragraphs i will discuss the relevant examples.
The main point for disagree is that meat is the main part of nutrients such as iron , protein. These nutrients are very important for children and old people because in the childhood children need protein and all types of vitamin in their food. For old people who are suffering for physically demading lifestyle they also need more protein and nutrients. so totally avoiding the meat cannot be practical for everyone also for dietitian they have few options in vegetarians .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 126 words. Consequently, the development of ideas is severely limited. While you state a position, the arguments regarding nutritional needs are underdeveloped and lack the depth required for a Task 2 essay. You mention that you will discuss relevant examples, but the essay ends abruptly without providing any concrete examples or a concluding summary. To improve, you must expand your arguments with detailed explanations and specific illustrations, ensuring you meet the length requirement to allow for full development of your ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into two short paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is hindered by the lack of length and depth. Cohesive devices are used in a very basic manner, such as 'The main point for disagree is that'. There is a lack of sophisticated linking words to connect ideas between sentences and paragraphs. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by supporting details that flow logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'main part' and 'important'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'physically demading lifestyle' and 'dietitian they have few options in vegetarians'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands. You should aim to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and collocations related to the topic of nutrition and ethics to improve your lexical range and accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with verb forms ('avoid to eat'), subject-verb agreement ('there is debate'), and article usage. Sentence structures are predominantly simple, with few attempts at complex sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas. To improve, you need to work on sentence variety by using subordinate clauses and ensuring subject-verb agreement. Proofreading for basic errors like missing articles and incorrect verb patterns will also help improve your accuracy.
