Student answer (Band 5.0)
According to nature law, aerobic has a right to enjoy their lives. People should not eat animal as a food. I am strongly agree to this statement. Animals play an important to save our ecosystem. Nowadays human think that they have only right to live on earth. For the mouth taste human starts to kill the animal and eat it. Most of the vegetarian human being think eat animal against the nature. On the other hand animals contain harmful disease while people cut the animal in the presence of air, the bacteria spread faster. For example in the pandemic Covid-19, I heard a news from the well known channel they are saying this disease expand from the Animals.
Last year when I was watching a discovery channel, I remember I saw different species of fishes, it looks soo beautiful. If human nature starts to hit the animals, most of the small species of animals will be eliminated and in the future according to survey the number of Zoo will be decreased across the world. Nature looks beautiful because of animals and plants but if human being start to kill the nature it is hard to survive in the future without nature. As well most of the people think dog is the faithful animal as it loves a lot to the human being.
To conclude, I am strongly agree people have to stop killing the animal and eat them as a food, because animal are the life saver for nature and more trustworthy then the human being.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of vegetarianism. However, the development of ideas is limited and often relies on generalizations or personal anecdotes rather than logical argumentation. For instance, the claim that 'animals contain harmful disease' is a broad, scientifically imprecise statement used to support the argument. The points regarding the ecosystem and the beauty of animals are relevant but lack depth and academic support. To improve, you should focus on providing more structured, well-reasoned arguments that directly address the ethical and environmental implications of meat consumption rather than relying on anecdotal evidence.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is often mechanical and sometimes disjointed. While there is an attempt to use cohesive devices like 'On the other hand' and 'To conclude', the transitions between sentences are frequently abrupt. For example, the jump from discussing the pandemic to watching a discovery channel lacks a logical connection. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the use of 'it' in 'it looks soo beautiful', which does not clearly refer back to a specific noun. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, unified focus would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, which restricts the ability to express complex ideas. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'aerobic' (likely meant 'animals'), 'mouth taste', and 'human nature starts to hit the animals'. These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary to include more precise, academic terms and focus on correct collocations. Using more varied and sophisticated language will help you convey your arguments with greater clarity and impact.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('human think', 'animal are'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain errors that make them difficult to follow, such as 'I heard a news from the well known channel they are saying this disease expand from the Animals.' There is very little evidence of complex sentence structures, and the errors in basic grammar are persistent throughout the text. Focusing on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency is essential for improvement.
