Student answer (Band 5.5)
Raising animals for having non vegetarian food from them is cruel i am fully agree with this statement . I will mention my reasons in the below paragraph.
My first and foremost reason is we already have a alternative of this which is plant based food . We have many of natural plants that are good source of protein, fiber and other required carbohydrates. Instead of raising animals for needed sources we can raise plants which are easier and healthy for human beings rather than animals. A study of harvest university shows that people killed animals for protein however human can get 3.4% more protein from lentils as compared to animals meats.
Secondly, nature is more aware to grow naturally . There is food chain made by nature which humans should followed properly . By raising animals only for food can disturb the food chain and nature. Moreover large farms are made to keep the animals in a very bad manner not enough food is given to them and when people kill them they have a fear and emotional emotions that impact human body when they eat them.
To conclude it , I would say raising them for only food is cruel approach it should be banned by government because we have enough source of food and we should rely on them . So that animals also can live their lives without any fear and treated with respect as they are the part of nature.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of banning meat consumption. However, the essay falls slightly short of the 250-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the development of ideas. While the arguments regarding plant-based alternatives and the food chain are relevant, they are somewhat underdeveloped. The reference to a 'harvest university' study lacks specificity and credibility, and the claim about 'emotional emotions' impacting the human body is not well-supported. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more detailed explanations and ensure the word count requirement is met to allow for full development of your points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of your argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'My first and foremost reason', 'Secondly', and 'To conclude it'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions are slightly awkward, such as 'To conclude it'. The referencing is generally clear, but the logical connection between the idea of animal fear and its impact on the human body is not well-articulated, which disrupts the coherence of that specific paragraph. Improving the variety of linking words would enhance the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'raising animals for having non vegetarian food' and 'nature is more aware to grow naturally'. You also use some repetitive language, such as 'raising animals' and 'food'. While your meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated collocations and the occasional misuse of terms (e.g., 'emotional emotions') limit your score. Expanding your vocabulary to include more academic and topic-specific terms would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'i am fully agree' (should be 'I fully agree'), 'humans should followed' (should be 'humans should follow'), and 'there is food chain' (missing article). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct verb tense usage, and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed accurately.
