Student answer (Band 6.0)
While some people belive that raising animals for consumption of meat is crule, I strongly disagree with this opinion. Lets discuss this issue in detail below,
Meat is an essential protien which human body needs, there is no substuite to rich protien present in animal meat, while many research work has been done by health experts to find the same level of protien in other form like vegtables they have concluded that animal meat has no other substuite.
Meat consumption is not looked just as a food but its also hold emotionals and cultral values among many people in society, which must be respected by the other members of socitey who thinks its cruel. Also meat consumption has ecnomical impact on goverments as well with the consumption of meat the skin of animals will be used in different products and commedities for example sweater, jackets, blankets and many more. The left over bones of animal are also used in medical research purposes and developing medicies for calcium tablets etc.
Although a governing body can be formed to monitor which type of animal consumption is allowed or not based on health and enviormental experts to make sure meat consumed by people is of harbivours animals and not the carnivours animals and there is no impact on eco-system in surroundings and in atmosphere and there is no animal extension as well, to sacrifice animals which are raised only for consumption process.
I firmly belive with right measures and guidelines for raising the animals for consumption of meat will be beneficial to overall human health and awarness should be spread across people helping them know the benefits of consumption of meat.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against the idea that meat consumption is inherently cruel. You provide relevant arguments, such as the nutritional value of meat and its cultural and economic significance. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the claim that there is 'no substitute' for animal protein is scientifically debatable and could have been supported with more nuanced reasoning. The suggestion to form a governing body is a relevant idea, but it is presented in a long, convoluted sentence that lacks sufficient explanation of how it would address the core issue of animal welfare. To improve, focus on expanding your arguments with more specific examples or logical steps.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. However, the flow between ideas is sometimes mechanical. You use basic transitions like 'Also' and 'Although', but the logical progression within paragraphs is occasionally hindered by sentence structure. For example, the second paragraph jumps between nutritional, cultural, and economic points without smooth transitions. Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the third paragraph where the connection between 'governing body' and the previous points about animal products is not explicitly linked. Improving the use of cohesive devices and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
There is an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, but there are frequent spelling errors that occasionally distract the reader, such as 'belive' (believe), 'crule' (cruel), 'protien' (protein), 'substuite' (substitute), 'vegtables' (vegetables), 'ecnomical' (economic), 'commedities' (commodities), 'enviormental' (environmental), and 'harbivours' (herbivorous). These errors are noticeable and occur throughout the text. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'eco-system' and 'consumption', the high frequency of spelling mistakes limits your score. To reach a higher band, you must proofread carefully to ensure basic vocabulary is spelled correctly and work on using more precise collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, such as the comma splice in the first paragraph: '...cruel, I strongly disagree...'. There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage, for example, 'human body needs' should be 'the human body needs', and 'no other substuite' should be 'no other substitute'. While the meaning is generally clear, the high density of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the text from achieving a higher score. Focus on mastering basic sentence boundaries and subject-verb agreement.
