Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is a most popular topic among todays topics ,that meat should not be consumed by humans as is cruel for animals. on this topic, i am partially agree with the statement its have both sides that i would be discussed in the upcoming paragraphs.

First of all, animals have a life as humans they have their own families and tasks as animals feed their babies and families . People use them for their diet that on some extend is not acceptable. For example, female dear was hunted by hunter and sell their meat in the market but that female dear could be pregnant or have babies ,who provides them milk in this case their babies do not survive and die that lead to emotional die their families as some animals are so sensitive by hearts along with animal extinction for specific animal species that are already on red line on extinction.

On the other sides, some times people have to consumed them for health prospectives, as animals are good source of protein along various vitamins that are difficult to obtain from human diet. For example, fish is the great source of protein and omega 3 that some times even doctors recommended to take one time in the meal to stay healthy. Secondly, the animals that are become threat for human as increase in their breed are hunted so people can add them in their diet too.

In conclusion, animals are right as human but on some extend its become a crucial to kill them for human safety and health . so it could not be avoided completely .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both sides of the argument. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide an example regarding hunting, the explanation of why meat consumption is 'cruel' is a bit repetitive. The second body paragraph touches on health and safety, but the arguments are not fully extended. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is supported by a clear, logical explanation rather than just a brief example. Your position is clear, but the overall depth of the argument could be improved by exploring the ethical versus practical implications more thoroughly.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices like 'First of all', 'On the other sides', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are issues with referencing (e.g., 'its have both sides' and 'that on some extend'). The use of cohesive devices is sometimes inaccurate, which occasionally disrupts the logical progression of your ideas. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help your writing sound more natural and cohesive.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your meaning, but there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation. For example, you use 'health prospectives' instead of 'health perspectives' and 'emotional die' instead of 'emotional distress'. Additionally, there are some awkward phrasings such as 'sensitive by hearts' and 'red line on extinction'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, they do limit the precision of your writing. Expanding your vocabulary and focusing on correct collocations will help you achieve a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'i am partially agree'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'people have to consumed'), and punctuation errors. Some sentences are difficult to parse due to these inaccuracies, such as 'female dear was hunted by hunter and sell their meat'. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb and tense consistency.
