Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count of 250 words, coming in at only 114 words, and trails off incomplete mid-sentence. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed, and the position on whether people should never eat meat is underdeveloped. The writer touches upon animal cruelty, biodiversity, and the vegan community, but these ideas lack sufficient elaboration, support, and a clearly sustained personal stance. Due to the severe under-length nature of the response and the incomplete development of the arguments, Task Achievement is heavily penalized.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The text suffers from a lack of proper paragraphing and an abrupt, incomplete ending that breaks the logical flow. While the writer attempts to introduce distinct ideas—such as biodiversity, animal rights, and the vegan community—the overall arrangement is disjointed. Sentences like 'Raising animals for human comsumption is cruel. But not every one really accepts that statement.' lack smooth transitions. Cohesive devices are minimal, and referencing is occasionally unclear, resulting in a somewhat fragmented structure that impedes a clear progression of ideas throughout the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with noticeable spelling and typographical errors such as 'comsumption', 'thisn', 'exint', 'understanf', and 'simpatized'. The writer attempts some less common terms like 'biodiversity', 'endangered species', and 'co-exist', but these are undermined by frequent inaccuracies in word choice and spelling, including 'cattle farmimg' and 'peoples needs' without an apostrophe. The lexical range is minimally adequate for addressing a general topic, but errors occasionally strain the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student uses a mix of simple and moderately complex sentence forms, such as 'Animals are also a part of thisn world that we co-exist in.' However, grammatical control is weak, with frequent punctuation errors, missing spaces after periods (e.g., 'cruel. But'), capitalization mistakes ('Animals' versus lowercase 'they'), and sentence fragments like 'Respecting the vegan community, I understanf that they are simpatized towardds'. These frequent errors and the incomplete final sentence cause some difficulty for the reader, though the core meaning of individual sentences can generally still be deciphered.
