Student answer (Band 5.0)
Individuals should not consume animal flesh,Also, breeding animals for the same purpose is cruel.I do not agree with this statement.
Many people are of the assumption that depending on plants and seeds for their survival will help them develop a healthy lifestyle also keep them away from diseases which are prone to cause by eating animals. While, few of them prefer eating vegatables based on their religious sentiments. However, that is not completely true because not all the vegans are tend to have a life free from diseases. For instance, there is a plant which is detrimental to cause Tobacco mossaic virus, when consumed regularly leads to mouth cancer, of which individuals are not aware of.
Most of the population around the world are dependent on meat for their meals. They believe that they are tend to get protien from them. For example consuming 2 eggs in a day will help us to meet with the protein requirements our body needs regardless of the food we consume for the rest of the day and help us deal with the work especially who do not have time to cook a full meal due to their stressful work schedule.Raising cattles ,sheeps and other animals,In order to gain nutrients required for an individual or a society is not to be a cruel form assumed by the people. It has variuos advantage over a healthcare. For instance, Many sports individuals depend on meat for improving their muscle strength and stamina required for improving their performance.
In conclusion,The assumption of the society to raise the animals in order to consume them is not a cruel form of a homo sapien.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear stance against the opinion that eating meat and raising animals is cruel. However, the development of ideas suffers from weak reasoning and bizarre examples. For instance, the argument attempts to critique veganism by citing the 'Tobacco mosaic virus', claiming it is found in a plant and leads to mouth cancer, which is factually inaccurate and irrelevant to the topic of animal consumption. The points about protein intake and muscle strength are relevant, but overall, the ideas lack sufficient depth and logical support. The response partially addresses all parts of the task, meeting the criteria for Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response shows some organization, with a clear introduction and conclusion, but the progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by poor sentence placement and a lack of cohesive devices. Paragraphing is attempted, but the body paragraphs contain multiple disjointed thoughts. For example, the transition between discussing plant-based diets and jumping into meat consumption lacks a logical bridge. Furthermore, punctuation and spacing errors—such as missing spaces after commas and periods, as seen in 'flesh,Also, breeding'—hinder the overall readability of the text. Cohesive devices are inadequate and mechanical, placing this response firmly at Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive, with noticeable errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. The student attempts some less common vocabulary items, such as 'detrimental', 'religious sentiments', and 'stamina', but these are often misused or awkwardly collocated, as seen in 'detrimental to cause Tobacco mossaic virus'. There are also spelling errors like 'vegatables', 'protien', 'cattles', 'sheeps', and 'variuos'. The range is minimally adequate for the task, reflecting a Band 5.0 level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but these are frequently marred by structural errors. Examples include 'not all the vegans are tend to have' and 'Raising cattles ,sheeps and other animals,In order to gain nutrients... is not to be a cruel form assumed by the people.' Punctuation control is particularly weak, with commas and capitalisation misused throughout the text (e.g., 'In conclusion,The assumption'). Frequent grammatical errors cause some difficulty for the reader and restrict the response to a Band 5.0.
