Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a position—“I disagree with this statement”—and introduce two relevant points: meat as a source of protein and the existence of people who oppose harming animals. However, the response addresses the question only minimally. The reasons are asserted rather than explained: for example, you do not show why people would find it difficult to live without meat or consider alternatives such as plant-based protein. The point about animal cruelty is also left unfinished, so it is unclear how it supports your disagreement. The response is 133 words, below the required 250, and this leaves the argument substantially incomplete. Develop your position with clear explanations and relevant examples, and address the cruelty claim directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening gives your opinion, followed by points introduced with “in one hand” and “on the other hand.” These signals help the reader recognise that you intend to present contrasting ideas. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the body points are not fully connected to your stated disagreement, and the final idea stops without a conclusion. Some linking expressions are used inaccurately or mechanically, and there is little clear paragraph development. Use separate paragraphs for your position, each main reason, and a conclusion; then connect each example explicitly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “meat,” “raising animals,” “human consumption,” “vegetarian,” and “cruel,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is basic and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make parts difficult to understand, such as “daily leaving source,” “proten,” and “servive.” Phrases such as “the part of proten” do not express the intended meaning clearly. Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “a source of protein” and “animal farming.” Check spelling carefully and choose words that state your meaning precisely; this will make your argument easier to follow and allow you to express more nuanced ideas.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, but control of sentence structure is inconsistent. The opening contains several ideas joined without clear sentence boundaries, while “in this essay i am going to discuss that i disagree” shows difficulty forming a clear reporting clause. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, and verb forms, as in “Most of human like” and “it is the part.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also unreliable, including lowercase “i” and missing full stops. These errors sometimes make the intended relationships between ideas unclear. Practise building complete sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses only when their grammatical links are clear.
