Student answer (Band 5.5)
People have different views about eating meat whether it is good or bad decision just because raising animals for human consumption is cruel, but in my opinion I totally agree with this statement that is growing animals for own craving is not a good thing.
Firstly, raising animals for food is so cruel and mean.In some large farms they kept this animals in small places and give them water and food for their physical growth sothey can get much more meat from them.As well as some pepole use different kind of chemicals in their body development ,despite they acknowledage the side effect face by the consumer. For example,in some nation people use medicines and growth hormonous chemicals to faster the growth. It also make people concerned about animals health and food saftey.
Moreover, meat are not only single thing on this planet to fullfil your diet and hunger.Individuals can complete their proper protein and nutrients by eating vegetables such like, beans, green vegetables, and, rice e.t.c. In today times not only the can eat vegetables in their daily meal but also they can eat dairy products and plant based meat to keep their body healthy and fit.For example, a large cattle farm need large land for raising them, if people start avoid eating meat the less space use for raising than farming .
Overall,Honestly, i think that killing someone just for own craving and for food menu is so badand against the humanity.Howere people should do something to reduce suffering of the animals because they feel same fear and pain as we do. And also government should also do something on it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you totally agree that raising animals for food is wrong. You address the main issue with relevant reasons, including cramped conditions and the availability of plant-based sources of protein, and you conclude by calling for action to reduce animal suffering. This covers the task well, but the support is uneven: the discussion of farm conditions includes an example, while the claim that people can meet their nutritional needs without meat is asserted rather than explained. The land-use point is also difficult to follow and is not clearly connected to your argument. To develop the response further, explain how each example supports your view and make the conclusion’s proposed action more specific.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs beginning with “Firstly” and “Moreover,” and a concluding paragraph. These signposts help readers follow the main stages of your argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “As well as” does not smoothly introduce the point about chemicals, and the sentence beginning “For example, a large cattle farm…” shifts from nutrition to land use without explaining the link. The final paragraph also combines your opinion, animal suffering, and government action in a crowded sequence. Use clearer links between related claims, and organise each paragraph around one main reason with its explanation and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “human consumption,” “protein and nutrients,” “plant based meat,” and “food safety,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “growth hormones” and “animal health.” However, inaccurate word choice, spelling, and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “own craving,” “complete their proper protein,” and “faster the growth” do not express the intended meanings naturally. Several words are misspelled, including “acknowledage” and “saftey.” Build a more reliable range of topic vocabulary and check spelling and word forms; precise, natural phrasing will make your argument clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because raising animals for human consumption is cruel” and a conditional idea beginning “if people start avoid eating meat.” This shows some range, but control is inconsistent: errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction occur across the response. For instance, “meat are” should use a singular verb, while “they kept this animals” has problems with tense and number. The conditional sentence about land use is also difficult to interpret because its clauses are not formed clearly. Work on accurate subject–verb agreement and complete sentence patterns, then proofread punctuation and spacing. More reliable control of these structures would make your ideas easier to follow.
