Student answer (Band 5.5)

Meat is the biggest source of protiens and a large part of food in many countries. Some people think eating meat is brutal act and should be avoided. I firmly disagree with the statement.

Firstly, meat is larger part of food. It has several benefits. People get protiens by consuming meats. Medicallay proved that meat makes the body enough strong and healthy that many disease can't damage the humans. For instance, during corona virus pandemic doctors suggested meat diet to virus effected pateints for speedy recovery. In addition, fish meat is the cause of long life also found in many researches.

Secondly, there is huge quantity available of meat produced animals like chicken, goat, cow , fish etc. Individuals using these animal as a meat food from ancient time. If people leave to eat them then a huge amount of these animals would be rise in the earth. Everywhere species will be spreaded and situation will be exacerbated for living humanity. In addition, goverments would be compelled to eradicate the animals due to detrimental circumstances.

From my perspective meat source creatures are blessing for massess. Meat is the large industry from bussiness point of view. Many people built farms of differnt animals. Many countries runing a huge part of economy by through meat import and export. Meat industry also giving numerous jobs in all over the world.

In the end, meat has a massive impact on economy as well as health. If a man dislike to consume meat by any reason, he has right to avoid. However, meat has more importance and should continue as a part of food.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I firmly disagree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the claim about cruelty by arguing that meat supports health, livelihoods and national economies, and you include examples such as the pandemic and meat exports. This covers the task and gives relevant reasons. However, the cruelty concern itself is not examined in much depth: the response does not explain why animal farming is acceptable or acknowledge possible welfare problems. Some support is also unclear or over-generalised, particularly the claim that meat prevents disease and that animal populations would spread excessively if people stopped eating meat. To strengthen the response, develop these points with more precise reasoning and directly weigh them against the ethical argument.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two main supporting paragraphs, a further paragraph about the industry, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “In addition,” and “In the end” help readers follow the main stages. The overall progression is understandable, but cohesion can feel mechanical because several paragraphs rely on these explicit transitions rather than showing how one idea leads to the next. Some references are also unclear, for example “these animals” and “the animals” in the population argument, where the precise relationship to the previous point is not fully explained. Consider grouping the economic points together and using clearer links between claims and examples, so each paragraph develops one central idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “consuming,” “detrimental circumstances,” “economy,” and “import and export.” This gives you enough language to communicate your main position. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make parts of the response less clear or natural. Examples include “meat is larger part of food,” “virus effected pateints,” and “fish meat is the cause of long life.” Repeated use of “meat,” “animals,” and “huge” also limits precision. Aim to learn common topic collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise expressions would help you explain nutrition, animal welfare, and economic effects without relying on broad or awkward phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If people leave to eat them then…” and “If a man dislike to consume meat…”. The main ideas are generally recoverable, but control is uneven: errors in articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “Some people think eating meat is brutal act” needs an article, while “If a man dislike” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. The sentence beginning “Medicallay proved that…” also lacks a clear grammatical subject, and “Many countries runing a huge part of economy” has an incomplete verb construction. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them with conjunctions and conditionals; this will make your reasoning easier to follow.
