Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the present senario, many individuals believes that eating meat and raising animals for meat consumption is unethical. This opinion is some how agreeanble but is incorrect to some extend.

I dont agree with the fact that one should completely avoid meat consumption. Us, human being, are carnivous by nature. Animal meats are the major source of protein and vitamins for a human body. For instance, animal liver consumption will help to boost the iron production in an body. Some individuals avoid consuming meat because of their various reason and peference, which doenot mean everyone needs to stop eating meat.

Similarly, many breeds of animals have been developed with the sole purpose of meat consumption. These animals were genetically modified and exisit for commercial meat production. For e.g. a seperate chicken breed , boiler, was developed to meat supply. They came into existence with the view of fulfilling meat demand in commercial level. The slauter house kill the bird, making painless death and then butcher the meat for consumers.

Despite of all the reasoning, the debat still arise for human killing another living being only for meat consumption. Many slauter house carryout the ill practices for killing the animals. Many animals are absued and are tourter just for them to be devour like many cows are forced to get pregnent just to get new calf and increase the production. Later baby calf are seperated from their mother and used for meat consumption. These practices are completely unethical and cruel.

Moreover, raising animals and consuming them can seen vulgure and unethical, but keeping ones prejudices to other who loves eating meat can be unreasonable. It is ones decision whether or not eat meat.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you disagree that people should never eat meat, while acknowledging that cruel treatment is unacceptable. You address both the nutritional and ethical aspects, and examples such as iron from liver and the separation of calves from cows make the response relevant. This meets the task well, but the support is uneven: the claim that humans are “carnivous by nature” is asserted rather than explained, and the discussion of specially bred chickens does not fully establish why this makes meat consumption acceptable. The final point about personal choice is also brief. To strengthen the response further, explain how your examples support your position and distinguish eating meat from the conditions in which animals are raised and slaughtered.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: it introduces your position, gives reasons for eating meat, considers animal-welfare concerns, and ends with a conclusion about personal choice. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these shifts, and transitions such as “Similarly,” “Despite,” and “Moreover” signal relationships between ideas. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. “Despite of all the reasoning” does not clearly identify which earlier arguments are being contrasted, and the move from commercial breeding to painless slaughter needs a more explicit connection to your main claim. The final paragraph also introduces prejudice without developing the link. Use transitions that express the precise relationship between points, and make each paragraph’s central idea lead clearly into the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “commercial meat production,” “unethical,” “prejudices,” and “consumption,” and the reader can generally understand your meaning. There is some range beyond basic everyday language, but inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the message less clear. Examples include “some how agreeanble,” “boiler” for the chicken breed, “meat supply,” and “vulgure”; “devour” is also an awkward choice in this context. These issues limit the precision and naturalness of the vocabulary. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common topic collocations, such as “broiler chickens,” “meat production,” and “animal welfare,” then use them consistently.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple statements and attempts at more complex structures, including “Some individuals avoid consuming meat because of their various reason…” and the contrast introduced by “Despite…”. The main ideas remain understandable, but grammatical errors occur across the response and reduce control. For example, “many individuals believes” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “Us, human being, are” has an incorrect pronoun and number form. Articles and sentence patterns are also inconsistent in “in an body” and “It is ones decision whether or not eat meat.” Aim to produce accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check agreement, articles, plural forms, and infinitive patterns, such as “whether or not to eat meat,” during revision.
