Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is widely depated that raising animal to be included in our food menu is barbarian. Moreover, many vegan adovcates see that human body can obtain all vitamins he need from vegetables and nuts. I disagree with this notion because of its delicious taste, and the nutritional aspects it provides to our bodies.
The main reason why people need to eat meat is good mood, many people enjoy eating, and feel more happy after having a delicious meal, although many individuals do not know that meat has an inner impact in body chemicals, eating beef or pork or any othe kind raise the happiness level in body. To illustrate, dopamein that exist in meat is related to chemical substances like dobamein and serotonein produced by the body itself makes people feel more happy.
Another reason why people should keep raising animals for consumption is nutrionial aspects and its influence in human well-being, many types of meat reduce energy and make people feel less exhausted. For instance, red meat contain iron and vitamin B2 that raise energy level in human body, White meat provides protein, furthermore, fish which promote human body with omega-3 that form of impotant healthy substance for human being.
In conclusion, eating meat is preferable for many people for its delicious taste with a variety of cooking ways while benefit their bodies with the important vitamins it provides. and feel happy while having their diet. However, excessive consumbtion of meat is harmful, therefore, people must keep a balanced diet.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you disagree with the claim that people should never eat meat, and you give reasons related to enjoyment and nutrition. The examples of iron, protein and omega-3 help make the nutritional point relevant. However, the response only partly addresses the central issue of animal cruelty. It does not explain why the benefits of eating meat outweigh concerns about how animals are raised, and the claim that meat improves mood is not clearly supported. The conclusion mentions moderation but does not directly weigh your position against the cruelty argument. To develop the response further, acknowledge the ethical concern and explain what practices, if any, you consider acceptable, then support each main reason with clearer explanation or evidence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion. The paragraphs generally stay focused on enjoyment and nutrition, and signposts such as “Another reason” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the overall arrangement. However, some links between ideas are unclear or mechanical. The first body paragraph moves from enjoyment to claims about body chemicals without explaining the connection, while the final sentence beginning “and feel happy” is detached from the preceding conclusion. Several long sentences join multiple points with commas, making the progression harder to follow. Use clearer sentence boundaries and explain how each example supports its paragraph’s main point; also make the conclusion a complete, directly connected summary.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “nutritional aspects,” “well-being,” “balanced diet,” and names of nutrients such as “iron” and “omega-3.” This gives you enough language to communicate the broad argument. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, including “depated,” “barbarian,” “dopamein,” and “consumbtion.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “raise the happiness level in body” and “promote human body with omega-3.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise language for the ethical issue—such as animal welfare, humane farming, or intensive livestock production—would also help you address the prompt more directly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “although,” and “while.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but complex sentences are often not controlled successfully. For example, “The main reason why people need to eat meat is good mood, many people enjoy eating…” joins separate clauses with a comma, and the sentence beginning “To illustrate” has a confusing structure and unclear subject–verb relationships. There are also recurring agreement and article problems, as in “red meat contain” and “dopamein that exist.” The conclusion includes a sentence fragment beginning “and feel happy.” Practise separating independent clauses, checking subject–verb agreement, and building shorter, complete sentences before adding more complex structures.
