Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is a debatable topic that people should never eat meat because it is ethically wrong to kill animals for human consumption. Some people are disagree with the statement. I am partially agree with this and I would like to present both the view points.
First of all, people thinks that meat is good for their health and a high source of protein. They like to add a portion of protein in their diet and meat is a best option for them. For example, health consicous people only eat meat because it is good for their heath rather than eating carbs. They do not think raising animals for human consumption is cruel.
On the other hand, some people choose a pure vegetarian diet because they do not want to kill any animal for their food. They think it is unethical for them to eat animals. Moreover, people feel that animals are an important part of food chain so they do not want to distroyed it by consuming animals as their meals.
Secondly, a few people think that animals are part of nature and they raise animals like their children. It is good morally right for them to kill their children for meat. They respect mother nature and do not want to harm any creation for their food.
In conclusion, I would like to say that it is totally depend on everyone's personal choice wheather, they want to wat meat or not. However, I am partially agree that people should not eat meat because killing an animal is not good.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a relevant response and state a partial position in the introduction and conclusion: “I am partially agree” that people should not eat meat. You also mention health and protein as reasons people eat meat, and ethical concerns as reasons others avoid it. However, the position is not consistently explained: the body mainly presents opposing views rather than showing which arguments you accept and why. Some points are unclear or insufficiently supported, such as the claim that animals are part of the food chain and that eating them would “destroy” it. Develop your own reasoning with a specific example, and explain what “partially” means—for instance, whether you object to cruel farming practices but accept meat from humane sources.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. You also use basic signposts such as “First of all,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion.” However, there is no clear progression from the arguments to your own position: the paragraph beginning “Secondly” introduces another point about nature without clearly connecting it to the previous discussion, and the conclusion largely repeats the opening rather than resolving the debate. Some links are also inaccurate or confusing, particularly “It is good morally right for them to kill their children for meat,” which appears to contradict the intended point. Organise the body around two clear reasons and use references and transitions that make the relationship between ideas explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general discussion, including “ethically wrong,” “protein,” “vegetarian diet,” “unethical” and “mother nature.” This shows some ability to discuss health and animal welfare, but the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make parts difficult to interpret. For example, “health consicous” and “distroyed” are misspelled, while “a high source of protein” and “a pure vegetarian diet” are not natural expressions in this context. The phrase about killing “their children” also appears to use the wrong word and obscures your meaning. Build accuracy by learning common topic collocations and checking spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including “because” clauses and the contrast introduced by “On the other hand.” However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence patterns, agreement and verb forms. Examples include “Some people are disagree,” “people thinks,” “I am partially agree,” and “it is totally depend.” The sentence “It is good morally right for them to kill their children for meat” is also structurally unclear. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, such as “people think,” “I partly agree,” and “it depends,” then build longer sentences only when you can control their grammar and punctuation.
