Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is very bad for individuals to eat meat as they should avoid eating animals. i am completely agree with this statement because animals also have the right to live on the earth and aslo it is sometimes effect humans body if they eat meat. i will discuss both points in the following paragraphs.

First of all, all the animals have the same right to live on the earth as humans have. Creatures got hearted when people cut them. They can not speak that they feel pain but they can feel it. In addition to it, if people eat wildlife for their survival than these animals will extinct at the end. There are numerous kinds of food available on earth for people they sholud eat that food instead of eating animans. I also think that is is also a biggest sin on humans when cut animals and eat them. that is why it is advisable for humans to stop eating wildlife. In this way wildlife will be safe and will be able to maintain the nature's beauty.

Moreover, nowadays most of the animals are surviving with diseases and when people eat theere meat they are at the risk of death because eating meat of animals who are already dealing with the diseases will spread this in human body. i heard about many these types of cases in several countries who are dealing with it. some people are dealing with food posion these days because of eating animals.

in conclusion, i have provided reasons to support my viewponts in the upper paragraphs. in my perception humans should stop eating meat in their upcoming in order to get escape from different kinds of diseases.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you strongly oppose eating meat, and you give two relevant reasons—animal suffering and possible health risks. The first body paragraph explains that animals feel pain and that eating wildlife could threaten species, while the second introduces disease transmission. However, the response only partly develops the task. The argument shifts from the prompt’s focus on the cruelty of raising animals for consumption to eating wildlife and the health effects of meat, without explaining how animal farming is cruel or addressing possible counterarguments. Several claims, such as meat causing a risk of death, are asserted without a specific example or explanation. Develop the central cruelty argument more directly and support each reason with clearer evidence or examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The ideas are generally grouped by topic, and signposts such as “First of all,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The first paragraph moves from animal pain to extinction, then to available food and sin, so the progression between points is not always smooth. Phrases such as “I will discuss both points” are not followed by a clearly previewed pair of arguments, and “in the upper paragraphs” is an awkward reference. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main claim, then connect supporting explanations in a more deliberate order.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “survival,” “extinct,” “wildlife,” and “diseases.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “Creatures got hearted” does not express the intended idea of animals being hurt, and “food posion” appears to mean food poisoning. There are also repeated spelling errors, including “aslo,” “sholud,” and “animans,” alongside repeated use of “eat” and “animals.” Build a more precise vocabulary for animal welfare and farming, and proofread spelling and word forms. More accurate phrasing will make your argument clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some complex sentences, for example, “when people eat theere meat they are at the risk of death because eating meat of animals who are already dealing with the diseases will spread this in human body.” This shows an effort to explain cause and effect, but the structure is difficult to control and contains errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction. Other examples include “i am completely agree,” “animals also have the right,” and the run-on sequence beginning “i heard about many these types of cases.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent. Most sentences rely on simple patterns, with complex attempts often becoming unclear. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns and sentence boundaries, then use shorter, controlled sentences before adding subordinate clauses.
