Student answer (Band 6.5)
With the journey of growing up age academics and physical education is important. This is the way how student look around their abilities and find their future path. In this essay, I will discuss both the view points below.
Some people believe that physical education plays crucial role in students life as it gives strength to human body to work with body mechanism. If a student not good enough in learning this is best way to earn future because they can take part in games, maintain their body and some of the people able to train people physically and mentally. For example, if a student is good in fencing but average in studies then he/she make fortune in the game and after retirement they can open their own stadium and teach young ones. According to this, physical education is important in education.
However, academics also have importance in humans life. There is a lot of things which humans can not do without academics like science, maths, physics and others. If a student have ability to learn then they can achieve their goals to become doctor, teacher, engineer because education provide wide range of data which helps to focus future as well as some students have hard time to do physical work because of their body condition. They may have some disabilities so they can focus more in academics. Thus, the reason beyond leaning is crucial part in education system.
In conclusion, both have their advantages about the importance in student life. One give strength to children to become fit and fine and another one give them wings to explore new things.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, fulfilling the requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding physical education focuses heavily on the potential for a professional sports career, which is a narrow interpretation of the benefits of physical activity. Similarly, the section on academics is quite general. While the position is clear, the supporting points lack depth and specific, well-explained examples. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the broader benefits of physical education, such as mental health or social skills, and provide more nuanced reasoning for the importance of academic subjects.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a clear progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate, such as 'According to this' and 'the reason beyond leaning'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between sentences can feel abrupt. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and phrases more naturally to connect your ideas, and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that guides the reader through your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choices, such as 'growing up age', 'earn future', and 'make fortune in the game'. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited to common, everyday words. To improve, you should aim to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to education and health, and work on collocations—words that naturally go together—to make your writing sound more natural and sophisticated.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'a student not good enough', 'education provide'), missing articles, and awkward sentence construction (e.g., 'There is a lot of things'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally make the reader pause, although they do not completely impede communication. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structure, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles. Proofreading your work for these common errors before finishing will help significantly.
