Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address both sides of the argument and provide a personal opinion, the discussion is underdeveloped. The conclusion is incomplete, ending abruptly after two words. To improve, you must expand on your points with more detailed explanations and relevant examples. The current length prevents you from fully exploring the topic, leading to a fragmented argument that lacks the depth required for a higher band score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'To begin', 'However', and 'In conclusion', but the overall flow is disrupted by the abrupt ending. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the logical development of the argument is limited by the lack of sufficient supporting detail. To improve, ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that your ideas are linked more smoothly throughout the essay.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'certain people' and 'very important' are used frequently, which limits the range of your expression. There are some minor errors in word choice, such as 'compete the world' (should be 'compete in the world') and 'topper of badge' (which is non-standard). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and collocations related to education and physical development.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('These activities improves', 'both physical education and the academic education is important') and punctuation errors, such as the comma placement in 'In my opinion , educations is'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the clarity of your writing. Focus on proofreading for basic agreement and punctuation to improve your accuracy.
